Crand Madame of the Rings
Crand Madame Placed upon its finger, once upon a time A Ring of BronzeTo symbolize a marriage with the mind. Then she Placed upon its finger, flaming new, A Silver RingTo emblemize
good life that grew.
Crand Madame Placed upon its finger, in the light A Ring of ColdTo prophesy a life's unsundered height. Thomas

Thanks to the human heart by which we live ..
Thanks to its tenderness, its joys, and fearsi
William Wordsworth ~ ~

Let me live in my house by the side of the road Where the race of men go by; They are good, they are bad, they are weak, they are strong, Wise, foolish so am I. Then why should I sit in the scorner's seat, Or hurl the cynic's ban> Let me live in my house by the road And be a friend of man.

To be happy ourselves is

Sister Mary Frances M.A.
He had only five minutes more to live. He told me that those five minutes seemed to him an infinite time, a vast wealth; he felt that he had so many lives left in those five minutes that there was no need yet to think of the last moment, so much so that he divided his time up. He set aside time to take leave of his comrades, two minutes for that; then he kept another two minutes to think for the last time; and then a minute to look about him
for the last time. Fyodor Dostoevsky

WE GOT IT ALL
TOGETHE<
Edltol'Ial
IrI jetting FAMILOGUE '73 together we have come not only to a better understanding of ourselves, but also of Holy Family as a unit, We have become aware of the fact that people can work
together with both positive and negative criticism. The idea that the combination of the two is the true spirit of togetherness. Negative criticism is too often taken at face value. Many times, however, it is used destructively rather than constructively. It is our hope that in the future negative criticism will be used as a constructive device by all entities of our unit. For the unit of Holy Family College is not made up solely of the student bod, y it also includes their different clubs and organizations, the faculty, and the administration. We have discovered that in a unit there are those who give and take, and those who want. We appeal to those who wish to go beyond themselves to consider others. For in considering others one considers himself. , We cannot expres s enou gh thanks to Patty, Maggie, Rum, Gerry, Nancy, Chris, Cindy, 54, Jan,.Ice, Pat, Hawk, and Sus fo r their unending determination and effort on FAMILOGVE '73. We o'Quid also like to sa y thank you to Thomas McCormick and John Ranhoffer for giving us two untiring s houlder s to I ean on, A specia I th anks to Frank X. Smith for the cover design and former Holy Family students for artw ofk Used I n the book. We appreciate the cooperation of GINO'S, PHILADELPHIAART MUSEU M, and SALEM HARBOR for the usage of their grounds for our photography locations. As g raduatin g seniors we have seen fGUr years gfowt hinHOIy Famil y . Wehave g onealon with g many of the rules, though some we have disputed. Our unit has g one from an all women's colle g e to a co-educational. institution..Many changes have occurred and many are yet in the coming. One change that we feel is vital for the survival of our family is the togetherness of its members. We must become more together, share our knowledge, for what we do not know someone else does, and what little knowledge we each have others are groping for. Let there be peace, love, and happiness, but these things cannot come about without togetherness. We are not and will never be satisfied with the togetherness of Holy Family College because there is always room for more ... '-
