Home Office: stylish practicality

INSPIRING

WORKSPACES

As more people than ever before are working from home, your designated workspace has never been so important. The more organised and well thought-out your work area is at home, the more productive you will be. It is proven that natural light improves mood, productivity and alertness, and when sunlight is no longer available correct lighting should be used to protect your eyes from screen glare. Adjustable seating to perfectly suit your height is imperative to avoid a bad sitting posture, and it is also advisable to choose a desk that has good storage so you can maintain a tidy workspace.

Above Jonathan Adler’s Channing desk features a Neo-Classical look. The criss-crossed polished legs and oversized acrylic knobs give the desk a touch of Hollywood glamour. It is shown here with their Caprice chair and Torino desk accessories to finish-off the look. Jonathan Adler is available through Siesta Interior Design in C. Plaza in Nueva Andalucía (www.siestainteriordesign.com).

Left Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955, the iconic Series 7 chair features an eye-catchingly unique shape and is the most popular design within Fritz Hansen’s chair collection. Fritz Hansen is available from BoConcept Plus Store on the Mijas Road and in C. de Negocios Oasis in Marbella (www.plusstore.es).

Arper’s Kinesit chair has a fiveway swivel base on castors in polished or lacquered aluminium, and is fitted with a gas-lift mechanism for height adjustment. It includes a built-in self-tensioning weight response mechanism, a low backrest that reclines in three positions, and adjustable lumbar support. Shown here with Arper’s Nuur table (www.arper.com).
