How to Clean a Coffee Stain

Coffee is by far and wide one of the drunken beverages - in the world. It doesn't matter what kind it is, how you take your coffee, or how much you love your coffee, you can guarantee that at one point or another someone, somewhere has spilled a cup of coffee on themselves, their clothes or furniture at least one point in their lives. Who knows, maybe the Pope, The Dali Lama, and Sister Theresa have all had issues with this too, not just us mere mortals. Just the same, if you love coffee but you hate the way it stains things when it’s spilled on accident, you are probably looking for some cool ways to get rid of those stains. If you keep reading below you will find a few tips on removing stains and chances are almost all or all of these "items" are ones you have in your house right now. Also below are some other ways to remove coffee stains alternatively. Why Coffee Stains Most people consider coffee to be the thing that wakes them up in the morning, or a relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon with a newspaper, and yet if you really think about it and the effect that coffee has on things, you might start to realize that this great thing, is actually a curse! There is seemingly no way to get coffee out. How can such a delicious thing be so evil? Truth be told coffee is such a staining hazard because of the oils, yes the oils, that it’s got in it. This oil will stick to almost any surface and when it comes to porous materials like for instance that brand new couch you bought or your shirt or tablecloth, it causes even worse problems and can cause discoloration. It might taste amazing, but it’s a real pain to remove it - unless you have one or two of the ingredients below... Club Soda Most of you have probably heard of this little trick and yet maybe you've never tried it. Essentially the bubbling of the club soda works like a detergent and helps remove the stains. You are going to need to use club soda and pour it liberally on the stain and blot it - don't rub or brush it, just dot and blot carefully until the entire stain is gone. This works on clothing, tablecloths, carpets and some furnishings. Beer Me!

This one is a little crazy, but it can help, between the fizzing of the beer and the hops it can usually get a coffee stain out. Just make sure that you use it on something you can wash afterward or else it’s going to keep smelling like beer down the line! On the stain, pour the beer directly on it, using your fingers, softly rub the beer into the stain. Within less than 30 minutes, the stain should be gone, but you may have to repeat the process over again to remove it entirely. Vinegar Vinegar really has been used for all kinds of concoctions in the household area. It’s great for stains as well. You can remove almost any type of stain, including red wine, beer, fruit juice, and yes coffee. Using a soft rag or a paper towel pour the vinegar (over the sink) onto the rag generously. Then, blot the stain gently, once most of the stain is gone you can then use an extra stain remover like SHOUT to remove it entirely, put it in the wash, regular cycle you would usually use and voila, stain gone.
