Whether it’s volunteering at the Home & Garden Show, Parade of Homes or Golf Outings, Elana Charlton undoubtedly shows up, smiling and ready to pitch in. That’s why the HBA of F-M selected her as the recipient of the 2020 Extra Mile Award.

About a year into working for Goodin Company as a customer service representative, Charlton wanted to focus her attention on learning the market, and she knew that getting involved with her local HBA was a must, as it would provide a means for meeting Builder and Associate members in the area. She made that choice and hasn’t looked back, commenting that her favorite thing about the HBA of F-M is the remarkable team effort that takes place when it comes to working on projects that require multiple volunteers.
Typically, the Extra Mile Award winner is announced and celebrated at the Awards Gala & Annual Meeting in October, which was canceled.
