RHESSI Space Probe Mars Express Space Probe

Space Probes – a spacecraft that travels through space, to moons, planets, asteroids and comets to collect scientific information. Probes do not carry astronauts. Probes send data back to Earth for scientists to study.

Space Shuttle – a rocket launched spacecraft, able to land like an unpowered aircraft, used to make repeated trips between the Earth and Earth’s orbit. Space Rover – A rover is a space exploration vehicle designed to move across the surface of a planet or other celestial body.

Rocket – a cylindrical projectile that can be propelled to a great height or distance by the combustion of its contents.

Space Station – a large artificial satellite used as a long-term base for manned operations in space.
