1. LOW MAINTENANCE REMODEL: OFFICE SPACE TRANSFORMATIONS Given the new wave of remote work culture, homes have become more than just a place to unwind, but also a space to get work done. Due to the compact size and highly transient nature of today’s technological tools, there’s no need to wall off an office for the sake of adhering to traditional floor plans. Homeowners can now easily set up shop in various rooms, selecting nooks that offer the best light, views, and ambiance for each person’s preferences. 2. ACCENT COLOR: NAVY BLUE Seeking the right color for an accent wall? Look no further than navy blue. This universally loved shade is making its way into modern home spaces via interior paint, furniture, and more. 3. WALL DESIGNS: TEXTURE A newer take on wallpaper, home designers are fusing tile and concrete applications into three-dimensional, geometric designs. ENTRY: BOLD FRONT DOORS Those interested in jazzing up the home’s exterior without a total re-haul and can try painting the front door a bold hue. DETAILS: MIXING MARBLE AND BRASS Mixing finishes was definitely seen throughout 2016 and this year the combination is set to continue by placing tried and true marble slabs alongside brass fixtures.

6. LIVING ROOM: BLACK STEEL AND GLASS DOORS These floor-to-ceiling doors offer a modern, minimalist style, while keep the living room connected to other parts of the home. DESIGNER TILE: GEOMETRIC PATTERNS These stylish designs made an appearance in 2016 and can be expected to continue throughout 2017. With these patterns, a little bit goes a long way. 9. ARCHITECTURE: CURVED WALLS Luxury designers are weaving curves into the home, particularly in bathrooms. These wavy walls help separate wet and dry spaces and offer a softer look in comparison to traditional squared edges often seen in tubs and cabinets. 10. OUTDOOR GARDEN Despite the surplus of rain pouring over Northern California, many homeowners have caught onto the past years’ water wise designs, making stylish, dry gardens all the more common.
