Family time is quality time

In the latter part of the 20 th century, family dynamics changed with a shift from extended to smaller family sizes, a decrease in nuptials, increases in divorce rates and people living apart. Last but not least families are having children much later meaning parenting duties are prolonged.

While 26% of families would be hopeful to keep care ‘within the family’ the truth of the matter is that it can’t work for everyone. Many families these days say that unfortunately they don’t have the time, the space, or the skills to support their loved ones full time themselves.
