Rule 2.15 be amended to read

2.15 Membership Subscriptions (As amended 15.07.23, 01.06.98) A member of the VCA shall, upon admission to membership, pay to the VCA an initial pro-rata membership subscription for the period which shall terminate at midnight on 31 March of the year of admission. the last day of the month in which falls the anniversary of the date of admission as a member and, Thereafter, on renewal of membership, a member shall pay to the VCA a membership renewal subscription at the rates determined from time to time by the Management Committee. Provided, that in the case of a membership approved before 31st may, 1998, such membership shall terminate on 31st December in each year. Membership shall lapse cease if not renewed within one calendar month of termination lapsing. In renewing membership each year, a member shall complete and sign the prescribed renewal of membership form.

PART II – MEMBERSHIP

Insert new Rule 2.15.1 that reads

2.15.1 Transitional Provisions (Approved 15/07/23)

Members who hold a financial membership that expires between June 2023 and February 2024 will pay a prorata membership subscription to align the member’s renewal date to the common annual renewal date of 31 March.

Members who have paid their annual renewal in April and May 2023 will be levied in March 2024 a pro-rata membership subscription to align the member’s renewal date to the common annual renewal date of 31 March 2025.

Publishing Of Schedules In The Gazette

All fixture schedules must be published in the Gazette. Draft schedules and judges contracts must be submitted to the Dogs Victoria office for approval at least four months prior to the first of the month in which the fixture is being held. Failure to comply will result in a late fee of $100 being applied.

Closing Date of Show Entries

At conformation shows the closing date for entries shall be at the discretion of the organising club or committee. Publication of the schedule in the Gazette shall be a minimum of two months prior to the month in which the show is conducted.

Deadlines for publishing of schedules in the Gazette

Management Committee have resolved that if the office has not received a schedule for a fixture at least 4 months before the official calendar date a member of staff will contact said club seeking advice on submission of the schedule and to confirm the event is going ahead. The Club has seven days to comply or the event will be cancelled and offered to another Club or the Roving Committee.
