LUXURY AGENT SPOTLIGHT

AMANDA MALCOLM Tell us what got you into this crazy business? I feel like I was destined for this business and every road led to where I am now. My dad was an excavator and my mom was passionate about two things, family and interior design; I guess you could say this alone set the foundation for my career in real estate. My childhood home burnt down when I was 15 and my mom dreamed of coming west so we drove across the country from Illinois and settled in Cave Creek. When the real estate bubble burst I was in college and my family lost another home. Throughout college and several years after I spent 14 years in the hospitality industry planning events and weddings and realized three things: 1) I love people; I just want to know their story. 2) Your home is where your story unfolds- a place where you can truly be who you are. 3) I love a good challenge & thrive on finding the solution that ultimately puts a smile back on someone’s face. For me, Real Estates combines everything that drives me. What are you passionate about? My daughter, my family, People, travel, culture, interior design, philanthropy, food and wine. Do you have a mission statement? To approach everything with purpose, passion and possibility. What are your sales numbers for the last 12 months? 2017: 25 closed transactions, $23.151 million in sales. Avg. Sales price, $926,000 2018 YTD: 12 closed transactions, $14.192 million in sales. Avg. Sales price, 1.18 Million What areas do you specialize in? Paradise Valley, Biltmore, Arcadia, North Central & Scottsdale. Tell us about your family. I have a huge family. I am the second oldest of 8 children. Seven out of 8 of us live in Arizona. My extended family is just as large with a total of 29 cousins. Most everyone lives in Illinois and Missouri. As kids, life was never dull. We were constantly surrounded my smiles, laughter and a few fiascos. This is where my negotiating skills began. I’m still surrounded by children with two stepsons, a stepdaughter and a four year old daughter. When you think of the word “Successful”, who’s the first person who comes to mind and why? When I think of the word successful, no one specific person comes to mind. I’ve always struggled with trying to find the one person who personifies success. To me success is the person who gets up everyday with drive and a smile to lead their team (whoever they are) whether it be professionally, personally or both. Successful is the person who always sees the best in people, always tries to be kind, encourages others and leads their team every day. They do loose their cool sometimes and they have failed but they acknowledge, they apologize and they persevere. They are always the most humble in the room and they do what they are passionate about. They do what they love- no matter what it is and you can tell. You’ve met them. They are not everyone but they are everywhere and they can be any one of us. Do you have any mentors? Wendy Walker, the team leader and principal of Wendy Walker Fine Properties. She is not only my professional mentor but she is an incredible mother, and unbelievable business woman. She has the focus, drive, passion and integrity unlike anyone I have ever met. Who has been the most influential person in your career? Wendy Walker. What are some of your goals for 2018? Helping 30 people/families sell or buy their next home.

What is something you believe that other people think is insane? Mermaids. I mean, they may look like the mermaids in Harry Potter but I’m not convinced they don’t exist. What is the book {or books} you’ve given most as a gift? The Carrot Tracker. Do you do anything really cool for a closing gift for your clients? My gifts are always personal. I really like giving gifts! I really listen and observe. It’s actually something throughout the entire real estate process that I’m searching for. Sometimes I’m able to find out right away and sometimes it takes a bit. Finally when the client shares something I just know…in my head a light goes off and I make a mental note of that for closing. I like to give unique things, that are well thought out and heartfelt. What is your favorite documentary or movie? Legend of the Fall What purchase of $100 or less has most positively impacted your life in the last 6 months? Three Books: The Alchemist, Un F*ck Yourself & The Big Truck that went by, how the world came to save Haiti and left behind a disaster. Do you have a personal or business coach? I have a business coach but I’m looking into a personal coach as well. What are your morning rituals? What does the first 60 minutes of your day look like? Think a happy thought, check my email ( I know…everyone says you shouldn’t do that but I feel like it gives me a head start to the day), get ½ ready, drink a full cup or water, have a slice of fruit, make coffee, finish getting ready (hopefully my daughter is still sleeping), get her breakfast, feed our pets and take her to school or hang with her until I head to the office about 8:45am. What obsessions do your explore on the evenings or weekends? Houses (I’m in Real Estate, I can’t help myself), interior design ideas, places I’d like to travel, cool kids stuff. What topic would you speak about if you were asked to give a talk on something outside of real estate? Parenthood; creating sanity (us moms are all in this together- somehow just listening to other moms and sharing experiences keeps me sane). Child abuse & Child Crisis Arizona. What is the best or most worthwhile investment you’ve made? Could be an investment of money, time, energy, or other resource. How did you decide to make this investment? Hiring an assistant Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often? Life will pay whatever price you ask of it- Tony Robbins What is the worst advice you see or hear being dispensed in your world? For Adults: Mind your own business. I really think standing up for others and using our voice is one of the most powerful tools we possess. For Kids: Just ignore them. This never worked for me as a kid. I was teased more whenever I ignored it. My goal with my daughter is to give her age appropriate ways to respond so she is standing up for herself. We have already had practice doing this once. A couple little boys were teasing her at school and we rehearsed by practicing looking them in the eyes and saying firmly “ excuse me, I do not like when you touch my hair, so please stop.” She had to say it twice but they stopped and never did it again. I’m sure it will get more difficult as we are talking about preschoolers here but sometimes I think kids just don’t know what to say. I don’t blame them- sometimes as adults we don’t either. If someone told you they were thinking about becoming a real estate agent what advise would you give them? Are you sure? Just kidding. I’d say, no matter what, always do what is right, even if it means loosing the sale or a client. When you are a real estate professional you are ultimately your own company and how you operate your business will be parallel to your success and longevity. If you could have one gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it, what would it say? You Do You.

What advice would you give your 20-, 25- or 30-year old self? And please place where you were at the time, and what you were doing? To my 20 year old self: If it’s meant to be, it will be, so baby just let it be (yep, like the song). I was working like crazy to put myself through college because debt scared me. I was also in a relationship with little commitment that I was worried about loosing for some reason. I would tell myself to take out a student loan, pick a destination and study aboard because life will be there when you get back or you’ll find who you are in the meantime. Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know? Most people think I’m very focused and serious but I have a silly side and I can be very sarcastic. Do you have any interesting hobbies or talents? I recently volunteered with a good friend of mine in Haiti assisting doctors and nurses in surgery. She has taken the trip 6 times and it has become my new hobby. We will return again in October. How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success? Or, do you have a favorite failure of yours? There always seems to be a valuable lesson that results from every failure. The tough part is when the lesson is not obvious or takes awhile to surface. The good news is, the reason will reveal itself when the time is right Then, the door is open for new opportunities and possibilities. What is something really weird or unsettling that happens to you on a regular basis? I always look at the clock when it’s the same time. It changes but for months it will be something random like 7:09. What have you changed your mind about in the last few years? Why? I rarely change my mind. Once I commit to something I see it through. However, about three years ago I made a conscious decision to do two things: 1) Accept and love people for who they are, to embrace all their personality traits even if I’m not particularly fond of them. 2) No matter where I am and how someone greets me or treats me to find a way to make them crack a smile. What is something that you knew for certain was true and later found out it was not? What do you believe is true, even though you can’t prove it? Life on another planet Last parting words? Almosts gets you nowhere.

BRIAN CULHANE

THE CULHANE GROUP @ EXP REALTY

Tell us what got you in to this crazy business? I have always been in Real Estate in one capacity or another, Architechtural Due Diligence Sales, Commercial Real Estate Trade Mag Ad Sales, and then after 29 winters in Chicago, I threw all my clothes in a duffle bag, hitched a ride with a buddy and headed out West. I quickly realized i wanted to stay here especially after meeting my future wife Kristi and so i went to Real Estate school (while waiting tables) and got my AZ Real Estate license. I interviewed with many Commercial outfits, but also responded to a Craigslist ad for a Residential Team Leader and it ended up being Glenn Sanford (Future Founder of EXP Realty). Glenn was my coach and mentor and rain maker and taught me how to be a Real Estate Entreprenuer and how to be a team and business builder and we ultimately founded EXP Realty about 4 years later. What are you passionate about? My family, helping others, health, wellness, freedom, classic philosophy, american politics, sports and ancient mysteries. Do you have a mission statement? Helping others is a lifes work and surround yourself with people better than you. What are your sales numbers for the last 12 months? Since I am a National Re-Organization Builder thats hard to say, I have an international

group that is over 1000 people in 30 states and Canada (over 10% of EXP’s agent base personally). I also get stock from my company. So I am probably worth over 8 figures now because of this company and because of Real Estate in less than 14 years in the biz. Real Estate has been berry berry good to me. What area’s do you specialize in? Closing deals, helping agents build careers and jumping in cold water. Tell us about your family. My amazing and beautiful wife Kristi and I have 3 great kids: 2 boys and a little girl. My wife and I run Culhane Group and our kids run the house. When you think of the word “Successful”, who’s the first person who comes to mind and why? Leonard Lavin - Billionaire Owner of Alberto Culver - the utimate turn around guy and the original shark tank investor. Author of Winners Make It Happen and my mom’s former boss. Do you have any mentors? My father, Bob Valvano (college basketball coach) Bob Eckland (first CEO in RE - Eckland Consultants), Gail Warren (first sales mentor - Real Estate Forum Magazine), Glenn Sanford (founder of EXP) and Rob Flick & Tony Jeary (two of the worlds best organization builders).

Who has been the most influential person in your career? Glenn Sanford - Chairman of Exp World Holdings Inc. - hands down. What are some of your goals for 2018? Invest in great people, great companies and great ideas & buy properties, finish a Spartan tri-fecta and lose another 10 lbs. What is something you believe that other people think is insane? Cold water cures and Ancient Astronaut theories. What is the book {or books} you’ve given most as a gift? What Doesn’t Kill Us - Scott Carney, Sun Tzu ‘The Art Of War For Managers’ & Golf In The Kingdom - Michael Murphy Do you do anything really cool for a closing gift for your clients? Ancient Artifact art or spa days. Doesn’t Kill Us - Scott Carney, Sun Tzu ‘The Art Of War For Managers’ & Golf In The Kingdom - Michael Murphy Do you do anything really cool for a closing gift for your clients? Ancient Artifact art or spa days. What is your favorite documentary or movie? Rise Of The Suffer Fest (Documentary) & Caddyshack (Comedy) & Apocalypse Now (Action) What purchase of $100 or less has most positively impacted your life in the last 6 months? Opera singer throat spray, cause I talk so much. Do you have a personal or business coach? I have a few - Glenn Sanford, Rob Flick, Darren Jacklin, Hoss Pratt,Tony Jeary - good business people have one coach, great business people have multiple coaches. What are your morning rituals? What does the first 60 minutes of your day look like? Coffee, 20 mins of WIM HOF method breathing techniques and cold plunge for at least 2 mins up to my neck. Or trail running on run days.

If someone told you they were thinking about becoming a real estate agent what advise would you give them? Surround yourself with top producers and emulate them, ask lots of questions and write out goals, have a plan and get after it, cause nobody else is going to do it for you. If you could have one gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it, what would it say? An un-examined life is not worth living - Socrates. What advice would you give your 20-, 25- or 30-year old self? And please place where you were at the time, and what you were doing? When I was waiting tables and caddying in my late 20’s to not give up, everything will eventually work out if you keep working hard. Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know? I never learned cursive. Do you have any interesting hobbies or talents? I can still dunk a basketball after 2 hip surgeries and an implant, I’m amazing at all video games and primal weapons training. How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success? Or, do you have a favorite failure of yours? Breaking my hip and losing my father in same year was devastating, but it opened my eyes up to getting healthier, taking nothing for granted and the power and importance of passive sustainable income. What is something really weird or unsettling that happens to you on a regular basis? If it becomes regular, it stops becoming unsettling and I adapt quickly. What have you changed your mind about in the last few years? Why? I change my mind hour to hour, always re-examining and self evaluating. What is something that you knew for certain was true and later found out it was not? I know i know nothing - Buddah.

What obsessions do your explore on the evenings or weekends? I’m obsessed with finding quiet time away from my phone’

What do you believe is true, even though you can’t prove it? Life on this planet did not start on this planet.

What topic would you speak about if you were asked to give a talk on something outside of real estate? How to find pain freedom, financial freedom and time freedom, thermo-genisis and adrenaline management and 80’s pop culture.

Last parting words? Say it out loud, say it with confidence, work towards it and it’s already done.

What is the best or most worthwhile investment you’ve made? Moving to Arizona, my family, my current house, and my time spent building EXP. Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often? The student has to seek out the master and coffee is for closers. What is the worst advice you see or hear being dispensed in your world? Far too many coaches in the business realm think that they can just string together a bunch of power word salad and think that will motivate and educate struggling professionals and they charge them for it. Most people don’t understand the principals of wealth building and even fewer will ever implement them.

Around Town

The concept of stepping out for “dinner and a show” may be the kind of lost art that the owners of BLK Live in Scottsdale are bringing back. Gone are the days of grabbing a burger on the way to see your favorite throwback band across town or hitting up the latest trendy modern fusion joint before your favorite band hits the stage across the street. BLK Live puts both the fine dining experience and live music together on one stage with great results! My husband and I had dinner before our show, and we were blown away by the food which certainly achieved Fine Dining Level status. (That’s saying a lot coming from this self-proclaimed foodie!!) Not only was the meal delectable but we were seated next to the band playing that evening. It was such a surreal experience. A night we won’t soon forget. When you first walk into the comfortable rustic/chic space you can feel the understated elegance. Greeted by the hand-drawn artist murals on the wall, industrial lighting and beamed ceilings, the cushy upholstered booths invite you right in. It’s all centered around the main bar, which serves up a carefully crafted cocktail list. (Be sure to ask Conner to create one of his hand-crafted made-to-order drinks! We watched in awe as he played with fire on a cedar plank to add some smoke to our citrusy Bulleit Rye concoctions.) Originating out of Southern California where the owners have opened 6 other successful spots, BLK Live has been in North Scottsdale for 2 years, and they have a winning combo. The menu changes seasonally, so you may find something new upon each visit. We started with the elegantly stacked Tuna Tower. The combo of sweet mango house-made salsa, tangy seaweed salad and creamy avocado topped with loads of fresh ahi tuna complimented the unique crispy wonton chips perfectly. Such a refreshing summer-y start! Next, we couldn’t pass up the Pork Belly. It was melt-in-your-mouth perfection with the ideal complement of cherries, smoked peaches and a drizzle of bourbon glaze to pull it all together. Our server recommended the brussel sprouts, and we were glad he did. They were prepared in a fresh fashion: cut into smaller bites then roasted and crispy with a topper of applewood smoked bacon, a complimentary sprinkling of Grana Padano parmesan and a tangy sweet balsamic reduction to finish. (You may need to order 2 with a larger party, they were that good!!) The main course is where our excitement peaked!! Black Wagyu beef (the restaurant’s namesake in part) is the highest quality certified beef in the US and makes up the hand cut steaks and burgers on BLK Live’s contemporary menu. I like to consider myself a steak aficionado and have had selections from all of the fancy steakhouse spots in the Valley.Taking that into account, let me just say, that this was the BEST ribeye I’ve ever had! The meat itself was a cut above, but the preparation was unparalleled! The Snake River Farms American Wagyu ribeye is 14 ounces. It was grilled to perfection with a juicy warm pink center and nestled next to a small pool of creamy blue cheese sauce. I took unexpected delight in the included accompaniments-not an add on like those other places! Sides included: a bed of Kale salad balancing crispy and tender with a salty kick, several spears of smoky sautéed broccolini, and last but not least a lovely generous square of creamy and savory potatoes au gratin. I could detect gruyere cheese, my fav, and a subtle hint of a spice. I would also like to give a shout-out to the BLK Burger, my husband loved it – and in his words “You can taste the quality!” More of the famous Wagyu beef, expertly grilled and topped with crispy bacon and L & T on a challah bun with house-cut fries on the side. The Cobb salad was our last entrée. Not your mama’s Cobb, this take was modern and fresh! The house made Thousand Island dressing should be bottled- it’s that good. The usual suspects were mixed with shredded white cheddar, fresh corn and avocado, bacon and hard-boiled egg, and topped with a delectable sliced parmesan panko crusted chicken breast. BLK Live does not have a set desert menu as every evening they whip up a special treat. We tried a lemony and light cheesecake with berry compote; it was subtly sweet with a homemade graham crust. This southern girl always ends her meal with dessert and was super satisfied!! I’m hard pressed to find any negatives from our dinner. I guess I could say that the portions were large. (But having a little extra for the next day is a bonus in my book. Score!!) They even offered to place our to-go box in the fridge until after the show. At the conclusion of the meal we stepped out to the open air venue to enjoy the sounds of Fiji and his Island kissed blend of reggae. Featuring the top-notch sound of national acts on their regular calendar, a pool and tiki bars, VIP section, and chic cabanas; BLK Live’s experience takes your evening to another level. We were the still savoring dessert when the show started, and were delighted to realize that the music is patched directly into the restaurant’s own overhead speakers. I highly suggest treating yourself to an amazing pregame meal before catching your next live show; you can even stay and hang afterwards at BLK Live’s reverse happy hour!

Golf, hunting, fishing, cooking. Happy hour rules? Do u go? If I think It will be productive. Usually don’t eat, limit one or two drinks tops. Favorite restaurant to eat out? City Hall Role models? Grant Cardone and Grandfather. How does your discipline in fitness help you excel in work? I get up at 5:30am to workout. Gets my mindset and creative juices flowing. I knock out some great audio books and podcasts. I’m done with my workout and have my game plan for the day in place before most people get up. Favorite workout music? EDM, gangster rap, and self education audio books and podcasts. Do you do CrossFit, yoga, bike..etc? Beach cruiser, need to do more yoga. Where are you from? LBC(Longbeach, CA) shooting dice with Snoop Dogg on the corner of 21 & Lewis, then relocated to Kingman, AZ. What’s the most interesting thing about you? I’ve always been an entrepreneur. Started selling rocks, golf balls, baseball cards, comics... whatever it took. Have had several failed business ideas. Now am able to blend both my passions “Real Estate - Home Loans” and “Fitness - Gallon Gear” into one. What is your daily routine? GTL - Gym Tan Laundr y haha jk Gym, family time, eat, work, eat, work, eat, family time. What do you love about your business? Ability to pave your own way and help people fulfill the American Dream. The unlimited earning potential doesn’t hurt! What sets you apart from your competitors? Willingness to do whatever it takes.

What are you most passionate about? Helping people get into homes, family, fitness, hydration accessories. What do you do when you’re not working or working out? Is there anything else to do? Hunting, fishing, traveling, wine tasting, bbqing.f

Name: Mariano Simrod Company: Zebra Head Marketing, Venture REI, Phoenix Wealth Builders Position/Title: Owner, Agent, Associate Best way to contact you: Email or Phone What do you eat for breakfast? 1 egg, 5 egg whites, Green Superfood, and a shot of apple cider vinegar. Meals per day? 6. Except Sunday then all bets are off, normally 2-3 huge cheat meals. Do you buy into any of the current diet fads? No way! I have been experimenting with different methods of eating for years which has taught me my own personal diet works best. Diets don’t work, a consistent regiment always wins. Supplements? Yes because they do help. I take a multivitamin, fatty acids, joint support, BCAA’s, Ginko, and of course pre-workout. Cardio - When? Time? I do cardio after lifting 2-3 times per week. I normally keep it 20 minutes to keep from burning too much muscle. Depending on my mood I will either do HIIT training, incline treadmill, or I will box with a partner or tr y to beat up a heavy bag. Other healthy active activities? I love to snowboard, and I run whenever I need to clear my head for a bit. Both are short escapes and are good for the mind and body. Happy hour rules? Do u go? You will seldom see me at a happy hour, especially if it’s during the week. Monday through Friday is too packed with other things. I may attend 1 ever y few months and if so it’s one drink max, then water. Favorite restaurant to eat out? Ouch that’s a tough one. The standing argument in our office is Mastro’s vs Steak 44. I’m going with Steak 44. You can’t beat the red velvet bread pudding! Role models? Tony Robbins, John Maxwell, Daymond John, Bruce Lee, Jordan Belfort, and ever yone that was in Boiler Room lol. People whose capacity is out of this world and have more than mastered their trade and themselves... except the last 2. I just liked them. How does your discipline in fitness help you excel in work? They are one and the same with me. Either you are a disciplined person or you aren’t. If you are disciplined in exercise but not work or vice versa you are just potentially motivated, not disciplined. I don’t need motivation because I am so disciplined. The energy

and clear headedness you get from training consistently really does come though in your work. If I miss the gym for more than a day or two I can definitely see it in my effectiveness and it sucks. Favorite workout music? 90’s and 2000’s hip hop for sure! Can’t get with this new stuff, makes me cringe. Do you do CrossFit, yoga, bike..etc? No, nope, and negative. I should do yoga, but the other two ain’t for this guy. Where are you from? I was born in California, but have lived in 7 states. Been here the longest and love it the most so I consider Arizona my home. What’s the most interesting thing about you? Probably my diversity. Not just my ethnicity, but my ability to go from stuffy suited up presentations, to a backwards hat and tattoos listening to hip hop. I can get along great in any situation and not be an outcast. I hated all of the travel I had to do as a kid, but now I am ver y thankful for it because it taught me how to get along with anyone, anywhere. What is your daily routine? Wake up at 6:30 and eat immediately. This is going to sound crazy but at about 7:00 I hang upside down in my inversion table (because my back is so banged up). While doing that I do my daily affirmations, meditating, praying, which are all the same to me. By 8:00 I’m in the car listening to audio books on my way to my call center. By 8:45 I’m running my call center, coaching my guys, driving leads and mentoring a few “up and comers”. I leave there between 1 and 1:30 and head to my other office which I normally get to by 2:00. From 2 to 6 I’m working with my partners, strategizing, planning, buying, selling, and flipping, all types of real estate. Then by 6:30 it’s the gym until 8:30 or 9:00. Once home around 9:00 I eat, shower, finish any work I have, read some, then it’s lights out. What do you love about your business? That its all on me, no salar y or clock to punch. I get to be as successful as I want based on my effort. Unlike most people, I get to do something fun and exciting while making money. I also get to work with great people and help them make money too! What sets you apart from your competitors? I would say it’s my experience and my ability to handle any need any type of client may have. I don’t fit into any one box, because of that I can work with or help a larger number of clients. Or I can help one client in a multitude of ways. What are you most passionate about? It’s going to sound cheesy, but I love helping people. Not in the traditional way though. I really get a kick out of helping people tr ying to come up in the world learn and execute in sales arenas and watching them take off. My best memories are of employees buying a new car or house because of what I taught them. That’s what it’s all about! What do you do when you’re not working or working out? Relaxing! I have my masters degree in laying at my pool smoking my hookah.

What is your daily routine? I typically wake up around 5am and train clients from my independent personal training business. From there I head straight to the gym and knock out my workout to have it completed early. This frees up the rest of my day to completely focus on getting work done. Having all of my personal time comprised in the morning allows for me to be extremely flexible with the rest of my day and make myself available for my clients. At night I relax with my girlfriend typically enjoying one of our favorite shows on Netflix. We end each night walking our dog together discussing our days and talking about making our future dreams a reality. What do you love about your business? This sounds cheesy, but I truly love looking at homes. I love knowing exactly what my client is looking for and finding the perfect place to meet their unique individual needs. and it’s important to get it right. What sets you apart from your competitors? There are a couple of things. First, my customer service is superior. I work very hard for my clients and make myself available based off their schedule. Second, being that I am a combat veteran I have a special place in my heart for those who served our country. I know their lifestyle and what they’ve been through and I am proud to support them through my services. What are you most passionate about? I am definitely most passionate about fitness and nutrition. I have always been fascinated with the human body and it’s physical potential provided the proper diet and exercise. I love learning about new studies on the effects of different kinds of foods and workouts to maximize results. I am always learning and implementing new protocols to my own program to see how things work for me personally. However, I’m still trying to find the program that allows me to eat pizza not made with cauliflower crust and ice cream made with real milk while maintaining 5% body fat! How does your discipline in fitness help you excel in work? Simply the discipline, motivation, and attitude play a huge part in ever y aspect of my life. It’s always 100% mindset, and when I commit to something I’m all in. I do the same for my clients always encouraging them to control their money and not let it control them. The small changes in life lead to great results, and ever yone has the potential to live the life they desire by setting goals, working hard, and helping & inspiring others along the way. Favorite workout music? I love my Christian & countr y music...but always listen to my educational & motivational podcasts when I workout. The more you learn the more you earn. ;) I’m always aware of what I put in my mind. It’s the most powerful tool. Do you do CrossFit, yoga, bike..etc? I never live inside the box. In fact, I didn’t even know there was a box. So yes, I’ll tr y anything...at least twice. Hot yoga, kick boxing, combatives...although spinning hates me. Where are you from? I was that countr y girl that always wanted to live in a big city. I grew up in Southern Utah (Zion was my backyard), and then moved to Arizona & Hawaii...but Scottsdale always feels like home. The next place I’ll live is Italy! What’s the most interesting thing about you? I love life and the adventures that come with it. It’s not about the destination, but the journey along the way. I’ve been extremely blessed to travel to 78 countries & almost all 50 states (oh North Dakota...maybe one day haha). My ultimate goal is to travel to ever y countr y, and for sure run the Great Wall of China marathon in the year 2020. What is your daily routine? I normally get more stuff done in the mornings than before most people wake up. Lol Wake up at 4:15am, workout from 5-6:30am, (grocer y shop, meal prep, clean the house, etc - whatever needs to get done), make breakfast, get to the office around 9am and then it varies from there since ever y day is so different. Sometimes I work until 4pm or sometimes 9pm...just depends on what my clients need. Then dinner, work on writing my book, then bed! What do you love about your business? Without a doubt, my clients. Esp my 2 year olds...they’re most excited about their college funds growing! ;) What sets you apart from your competitors? I’m not your ordinar y Financial Advisor. I really get to know my clients, and discover what’s most important to them. They know I will always go above and beyond for any of them, and they become family. I have so much fun helping my clients set their goals and then celebrate with them when they reach them. I truly have the best career, which never feels like a job. What are you most passionate about? I’ve always believed Zig Ziglar when he said, “You can get ever ything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” I love helping people, and being able to pay it forward. I also believe you’re rich, when you have something money can’t buy. I’m super passionate about collecting moments, and not just things. Traveling and adventures will always be a part of me. What do you do when you’re not working or working out? Working on my ukulele skills! Loving life with my friends and family...oh, and super handsome pup!
