AM: I’m just gonna freestyle.

AM: all right Jeron, just for the record, how long have you been skating?

JW: I think about ten years.

AM: Could you give a little sponsor history?

JW: Back in the day, I was skating in the Quartermaster;

Salman Agah saw me skating, hooked it up, pretty much started flowing me from Real. From there I got hooked up with Gavin at some San Jose contest. Then I saw him at another Quartermaster kinda thing and since then I’ve kinda been under his wing (laughter). From there I went to Blind and then to Girl.

AM: How was it living with Tim, back in the day?

JW: It was cool-lots of exciting stuff happening.

AM: Are you bummed that he’s retiring?

JW: Hanging out with my girl, skating, and hanging out with my boys; you know.

AM: What would you be doing if you didn’t skate?

JW: I’d probably be in school, most likely. I wanted to be an accountant at one point, but that never worked out.

AM: Weren’t you going to college for a little while after high school?

AM: What do you think of skateboarding on the web?

JW: It’s cool man. I can’t believe it. I can’t believe the kids are dialing in and leaving little messages for me and stuff.

AM: Do you understand how the web works?

JW: Somewhat. I gotta get a computer. I’m on the late train.

AM: You’re doing late grabs on the computer?

JW : Yeah.

AM: So, you went to the Vancouver (Canada!) contest (Slam City Jam, May 1&2, 1999) , how was that?

JW: ‘Couver was cool; a lot of festivities going on. There are a lot of skaters up there. I was surprised.

AM: How was Europe last summer?

JW: Europe was cool. I went to Portugal and a couple other spots out there. Australia was really nice.

AM: You got anything else you need to talk about?

JW: Yeah, for all you kiddies out there who are starting to smoke early; don’t do it. Just wait it out until you know

what’s going on first. You see all these older cats smokin’ and stuff; it’s not a good idea. Wait until you learn about it a little more.
