This Box Elder bowl was handcrafted by Sam Meandro. Also known as Manitoba maple, this creamy colored deep bowl with knot inclusions will enhance any part of your home. It is also perfect as a medium sized fruit bowl. The red areas are produced by the tree’s defence mechanism when attacked by a fungus or damaged. The wood used was locally sourced in Caledon after being felled to clear hydro lines. The bowl features an environmentally- friendly finish using tung oil and buffed with carnauba wax to give a beautiful hand-rubbed look.
