Why are women so independent? And how many can agree with me that in today's busy society, woman are being faced with more pressure and responsibility? In their work place and at home they are having to take care of majority of their families needs, especially with an increased number of single parent homes. Even the independence of a woman who knows in order to get further in life you must work hard to get what you want.

But should we be tightening up or loosening up? Woman are now working longer and harder to support their loved ones. From every angle woman are struggling but still getting the job done to maintain a happy enjoyable home. It seems as if we all transform into superwoman at some point of the day, and come home 'beat'. Our men can be supportive advisors and help tackle a few duties off the to-do list, but lets face it, it's mostly all left up to the women. So I decided to ask around and find out some opinions. While speaking with my sister, Melissa Brown-Sims, who has a kid and a husband at home, she stated that "Now-a-days women are independent because naturally we feel a sense of security knowing that we can always provide for our families without having to rely on anyone else. So if anything were to happen to my man, I am still able to hold it down!" Women love the satisfaction of getting the help they need without having to saying a word, so we tend to want to get the job done ourselves. Because if you want the job done, you better do it yourself. Right?

With that being said, we can sometimes assume someone will come running to our rescue like a fairy tale but truth is we should open up more in the little things we need assistance with, which still gives you independence while taking a small load off your shoulders. She added that, "If you are in a relationship with someone, both parties should be able to make compromise in letting the work be split 50/50 between the two of you. You guys are a team and both should have equal duties and responsibility". Yes, you may be a strong hard worker independently but that doesn't mean you should let it dominate your life or that you have to do things alone. Being independent is a job on its own and a hard one to keep up with which can have it's upsides and downsides. Thinning can also result from hormonal changes, genetics, or a health condition, so you should see a doctor as soon as you notice a change in your hair growth or texture. Are at-home relaxers safer than salon versions? The short answer is no. "One of the most common mistakes I see is over-processing," LaVar says. Women have the misconception that no-lye relaxers are safer or that leaving a relaxer on longer helps it work better. "You just need to relax the curl enough to break up the wave," she says. Leaving it on longer leads to more damage. "I don't advocate people doing relaxers at home," LaVar says. Experts agree: Strong chemicals need to be applied properly -without overlapping the last chemical treatment -- and rinsed completely. Do-it-yourself application can be risky (and costly), LaVar says. Without a professional application, you risk hair damage that needs to be repaired.

More women are taking on more responsibilities as are men who provide for their families, but more so women, are becoming the dominate money makers in the family even as single parents.

I got the chance to speak with a few males on this matter to get a real male perspective and it seems that men are attracted to alot more than we think. I was interested in knowing an actual response from a man I previously dated, so when I questioned him about the beauty of a woman and what should a woman posses to find a good husband he responded that, "The dynamics of the room when she walks in, her smile, her confidence her conversation, mind and ambition.
