Free Remote Control Software Review – Remote Utilities http://www.top-software-reviews.com/2012/free-remote-control-softwarereview-remote-utilities-06-14.html As an office administrator, I used to find myself wandering from computer to computer in order to update software, troubleshoot issues or even help users navigate systems. Thanks to remote control software from Remote Utilities, I am now able to perform all of these tasks remotely—from my office or even from home.

How it Works The first thing I noticed about this remote control softwarewas that the installation was a snap. I installed the first part of the software, known as the viewer onto my office computer and my portable laptop. Then, I installed the server on each one of the computers I administer. In under an hour, I was able to easily view the screen of any computer in the office as if I were sitting right there operating the mouse and keyboard. This has certainly increased my productivity as well as the productivity of the employees; updates and fixes can be applied in moments and I can show employees how to navigate their systems almost instantly. Security The most important aspect of any software installed within in office is the level of security it provides. Remote Utilitiesuses the latest technology to encrypt passwords and computer traffic with algorithms that have been certified by Microsoft. This way, I do not have to be concerned that someone either in or outside of the office will be able to view what is happening on my screen—or on the screens of the other employees. Optional event logs and the ability to blacken the user’s screen and lock out their keyboard and mouse while I am workingon sensitive software are certainly helpful parts of this remote control software, as well.

Remote Utilities Free Edition Although the free edition of the remote control softwareis only for personal use, it provides all of the same features I use every day at work on my home computer. I simply installed the Viewer software on my computer, and then installed the Server software on the other two computers in my home. Now, I can easily view documents and even help my family members when they run into issues, even when I am away from home. As an added bonus, it adds an extra level of parental controls that simply cannot be duplicated any other way.

Remote Utilities Enterprise Edition When used in a business setting, the Enterprise edition of Remote Utilitiesis certainly the way to go. It provides all of the same wonderful features as the free edition with even more benefits. The Enterprise edition allows users to create multiple user accounts for a single host, asks user permission before starting remote access, provides inventory management and screen recording functions and even allows the settings to be blocked from employee access. The best part about this is that most of these features are completely optional and can be changed as frequently as necessary. The software is free to try for 30 days and only $29.95 per remote PC afterward—a deal that is certainly affordable. As an individual who works with computers each and every day, I can certainly attest to the remote control softwareoffered by Remote Utilities. It has one of the simplest user interfaces in the industry whether it is being used at home or in the office.
