Asian’s largest RPET producer Libolon has been a supplier for world renowned fashion brands, including Issey Miyake, Escada, Uniqlo and H&M, etc. In recent years, the corporation has aimed to reach full vertical integration of the supply chain. As part of this effort, Libolon has acquired an outdoor wear distribution channel. In 2011, the corporation continues to establish its own fashion brand, FN.ice.

PLAN was commissioned to develop the concept store development strategy for a series global expansion. In the first concept store in Taipei, PLAN took a design approach to echo FN.ice’s brand mission_Creating sustainable urban outdoor apparel for modern mobile life.

Polyester chips used to produce fabric for clothes and reclaimed wood are applied in the space to further strengthen the brand’s responsibility to our environment while emphasizing where brand’s roots lie.

PLAN shaped the space with a series of triangular forms. They not only add cutting edge aesthetics to the space but also remind users of melting iceberg as a result of global warming phenomenon. The forms then morphs to become display shelves, cashier countertop, and wall surfaces, etc.

The highlight of the whole shopping experience comes from an arctic room built from reclaimed wood. The room simulates the extreme climate which FN.ice’s key merchandise, outdoor jacket, would best demonstrate its performance. It has become another attraction to visit the store.
