People love stories. Period.
Good stories—be they read, heard, or seen—mix moments, memories, and meaning, all of which are carried by protagonists and antagonists: people (or sometimes creatures) with whom we either identify or simply try to understand. It is human nature to evaluate others so that we can better figure out ourselves. Sometimes what we see, hear, or read, also inspires us to create. And sometimes, we just want to chill and be entertained. ; - )
