Introduction HOPE South Florida is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, operating since 1995 (previously The Shepherd’s Way), that has provided emergency shelter, housing assistance, and support services to thousands of homeless families and individuals. HOPE South Florida was inspired by the City of Fort Lauderdale’s leadership’s efforts to address the growing numbers of homeless persons frequenting the downtown area and is a first-of-its-kind collaboration of churches. VISION: HOPE for the hopeless and homes for the homeless MISSION: Providing HOPE for the homeless and hurting through services and partnerships with the faith and business community in South Florida. Our goal is to bring about transformation in the lives of the homeless and hurting through the provision of housing solutions and support services; and to serve as a guiding partner in transforming, educating, and bringing the faith community into relationship with those served. In 2013 we provided crisis and transitional housing to 239 families and 598 children during their time of need. Asia, a 5-month pregnant mother with one child, wrote these words on an exit survey upon graduating into more permanent housing: “I would like to say a special thank you to the staff and supporters of HOPE South Florida! After finding crisis shelter in your Faith-In-Action program, I now know I am loved, and have HOPE for a brighter future. ForeHOPE ForeHOPE 7th Annual Golf Tournament is an intimate 18-hole Pro-Am, four person best ball event held at Coral Ridge Country Club. ForeHOPE is hosted by Guy Boros with PGA Pro Tour guest players joining each foursome. Proceeds benefit the homeless families and individuals served through HOPE South Florida. 7:30 a.m. Warmup & Breakfast 8:30 a.m. PGA Pro Clinic & Pairing 9:00 a.m. Shotgun Start Awards luncheon to follow with guest speakers IMPACT Media: Online promotion through www.hopesouthflorida.org, social media outlets, newsletter eblasts (5,000 active contacts) and online event and community calendars. Print promotion through quarterly newsletters, press releases to all major local news and social publications, and distribution of event materials. The 6th Annual Golf Tournament saw featured articles printed in SunSentinel’s Society Scene Go, Riverwalk Magazine, and SeaBreezes Magazine. Reach: Major city/ county officials, business leaders, and over 50 church partners. Targeted tournament attendance of South Florida’s leading community leaders. HOST, Guy Boros Guy Boros is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, the Nationwide Tour and the Asian, Canadian and Australian Tours. Boros’ family history in golf goes back to his father, Julius Boros, who won two US Open Championships. Gifts & Prizes We are also seeking in-kind donations to assist in our fundraising eorts! If you or your company are able to donate gifts and/ or prizes for the following areas please complete the form below. Skins Game: The pool where everyone wins! Prizes ranging from golf merchandise to restaurant gift cards and wine baskets are appropriate and welcomed! Prizes are drawn during the Awards Luncheon. Course Contests: Competitions throughout the tournament include: Longest Drive (Men & Women), Longest Putt, and Closest to Pin. Golf merchandise preferred for these prizes. Player Gift Bag Inserts: Complimentary bags for each player and guest PGA and LPGA Pros are given at registration. Examples include lip balm, ball markers, towels, golf balls, and sun block (can have company logo on them). Quantity of inserts requested is 118 (25 foursomes + 18 Pros). Drink Station & Snacks: Sponsor of Drink Stations (water, soda, sports & energy drinks) located throughout course and snacks (fruit, granola & power bars, etc) included in player gift bags.
