From the Coordinator
Greetings and best wishes as we prepare to enter a new year ripe with possibility. I hope you have great plans and lofty goals for the year ahead. Did you know that Forbes magazine has named Minnesota one of the top five happiest states in the nation, while a recent Gallup survey puts us in the top three? Perhaps that’s not all that surprising, but it is great news for those of us lucky to call this place our home. Why are we in our ‘happy place?' Because we understand that happiness is a deep state of meaningfulness and purpose, rather than a passing mood — that happiness is rooted in strong social ties, meaningful work and engagement, and an active culture. These things are true for us in our local neighborhoods, and Community Education is an intentional partner in your happiness. We are here to provide you with social ties that lead to enduring bonds with neighbors and friends. We bring you meaningful ways to get involved and engaged. We strive to provide you with outlets to live an active life. At this time of year, when we all hope to set new and important resolutions for ourselves, let’s simply resolve to be happy — our culture and locale dictate that we have optimal conditions. Join the conversation around eating locally and ethically with our community book read on page 30. Try our new cooking classes. Practice yoga. Learn to sing. Paint, write, dance, compute, save, invest, learn, grow, thrive — be well! Be happy! Our promise is to provide

What do you really want to learn about, or how have you dreamed of developing yourself? 2. If you were determined to work at something that you absolutely love, what might that be? 3. What have you wanted to do, just for the sheer pleasure of doing it? LikeMinds is your partner in dreaming, learn and discover the things you’d like, when you’d like. Uncover the path that leads to your dreams. You are the key to success! We welcome you into LikeMinds and realize it is nothing without your voice and your participation. They suggest that a life reimagined invites us to get in touch with the most authentic meaning in our lives and to
