Open Pottery Studio

If you are taking a pottery class through Hopkins Community Education, the Open Pottery Studio is an opportunity for you to work on a personal project or continue to work on your class projects. Hopkins Community Education Pottery instructors run the open studio. There is no instruction provided. Open Studio fee does not include clay. You may use the clay from your class or purchase additional clay from instructor ($30 for 25 lbs., includes use of glazes and firing fee). We will notify you if a class is filled, canceled or changed. Cancellation Policy and Refund Information • We will gladly refund your class registration fee, or switch your class, if you cancel five business days prior to the first class. Once a class has begun, no refunds or changes will be made. You may send a friend in your place if, at the last minute, you find you are unable to attend your class. • We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. In that case, we will call you and arrange to refund your class fee. Discount Information Residents of Hopkins School Districts, 62 years and older, and Hopkins Public Schools employees are eligible for some discounts as follows: • For cooking classes, may reduce fee by $5. • For pottery classes, may reduce fee by $25. • For most other classes, the discount is 25% off the regular fee not including materials or textbook fees. Exceptions include all computer classes, trips and other courses as noted in the description. • Hopkins Public Schools employees are limited to one discounted class per session. • No discounts for classes at Hopkins Activity Center or Minnetonka Senior Center

In addition, there are occasional “promotional discounts” that are available to individuals subscribed to Hopkins Community Education’s E-Club. You can subscribe to E-Club (to receive e-newsletters and special discounts) at HopkinsCommunityEd.org. Health Plan Discounts All UCare Minnesota or Metropolitan Health Plan (MHP) members may take up to a $15 discount per class on most classes. Members must be on UCare or MHP at the time of registration and through the duration of the class. Indicate ID number(s) on the registration form. Fee Assistance Community Education has limited fee assistance available to School District residents who qualify and are unable to pay the full registration fee.
