Family Fun Opportunities Enchanted Stars Little Girls & Their Favorite Guy

Friday, March 8, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Eisenhower Community Center Girls, ages 4-12, and their dad, uncle, grandfather, or friend will enjoy an enchanted evening together. Create unforgettable memories dancing to your favorite beats with music provided by Zero Gravity Entertainment. Check out our Bling Shop to purchase cool accessories. Enjoy photo opportunities, crafts, and games. Pizza slices will be available for purchase. This event fills quickly — reserve your space today!

Spring Family Field Trip Sunday, May 12, 1-4 p.m.

Shuttle from Eisenhower Community Center to the Lowry Nature Center in Victoria, Minnesota for an afternoon of outdoor family fun and exploration! Meet live birds of prey, and enjoy guided nature walks, a camouflage animal search, obstacle course, fort buildings, activity stations, and crafts. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Shuttle buses will leave at Eisenhower Community Center Door B at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.

On January 21, enjoy an action packed morning at Grand Slam and a pizza lunch, followed by an afternoon of bowling at Tuttle’s. Grades K-5 The Artistic Edge Join us for a fun and friendly pageant that encourages and strengthens life skills such as public speaking, creative thinking, and performing. Participate in a pageant in a supportive environment, and develop and share your inner star. Classes will prepare students in stage presence, public speaking/ interview, and talent (all students will perform a dance). Red Cross Babysitting

Ages 11-16 Sari Johnson Become the most popular babysitter in your neighborhood with your new skills from this class! Whether you are experienced or just beginning to care for children, this is the class for you. Learn basic child development, first aid, care for babies, how to deal with emergencies, with age-appropriate games and activities to reinforce concepts. You will receive a Red Cross certification, but you must be 11 years old by the end of this class and attend the entire course. Blacklight Dodgeball Tourney Grades 2-6 DJ Bob, Party Unit Come on your own or get a group of friends together for a night of fun in the dark. We will provide markers, soft dodge balls, and the DJ for this glowing blacklight party. You must wear a white T-shirt for this event! Teams will be made on site by appropriate age and skill level. Learn to ride at Horse Camp! Non-School Day Fun: Youth Horse Camp

Ages 6-12 Boulder Pointe Stables Learn how to groom, tack-up, lead, and work with horses. Enjoy horse crafts and other activities such as horseshoe painting, braiding a horse’s mane, horse tag, and helping feed horses. Proper attire includes sneakers or boots (closed toe and heel), long pants, and layers for weather. Bring nut-free snacks, lunch, and a water bottle. ASTM/SEI certified helmets provided. Signed waivers are required. Bus will pick up students at 8:00 a.m. outside Door B at Eisenhower Community Center to go to the Boulder Pointe Stables in Anoka. Ages 5-7 Meghan Johnson Designed for kids with little or no gymnastics experience. Gain basic skills on all gymnastics apparatus, with a focus on balance, flexibility, and coordination. Learn basic tumbling skills (forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, etc.) and basics on bars, balance beam, and vault. Sports Instructional Skateboard Camps

Ages 6-16 3rd Lair Instructors Join 3rd Lair Skate Park for small group skateboard instruction. Groups are based on ability level, and new skaters are welcome. Hopkins Alpine Ski Team Spring Camp for Elementary Students

Grades 1-6 Jane Kleinman The Hopkins Alpine Spring Race Camp will provide alpine racing skill development in a fun and safe environment for Hopkins elementary students. Focus is on strong alpine ski technique and slalom and giant slalom ski racing tactics. This camp is for Hopkins Elementary students, grades 1-6, who have alpine (downhill) skiing experience that ranges from being able to successfully ski down the North hill at Hyland Hills and ride the chairlift by themselves, to those students who are already ski racing. Skiers will be grouped according to their ability. All kids will receive an official Hopkins Alpine Ski Team shirt.
