HALF-DAY KALEIDOSCOPE PRESCHOOL: AGES 3-5 Half-Day • 2-5 days per week • New Spanish immersion option • Saturday Preschool • Extended-day options Kaleidoscope Preschool offers families a choice of two, three, four, or five half-day classes per week for children ages 3-5. Kaleidoscope school-year program runs from September to June. Current Kaleidoscope families have priority registration for 2020-21. See website for more information. EXTENDED-DAY STAY & EXPLORE PROGRAM: AGES 4-5 Extend your child’s Kaleidoscope Preschool day with flexible options • Full-day options at select sites! Year Before Kindergarten (YBK) classes at select sites offer Stay & Explore options to extend your child’s half-day Kaleidoscope Preschool class. See the chart below for the options available at your site. How to register: Register first for a YBK Kaleidoscope Preschool class at HopkinsSchools.org/preschool. Once class confirmation is received, you can register for Stay & Explore on the same website. Registration for Kaleidoscope opens on February 19. Stay & Explore registration opens Feb. 26.

FULL-DAY STEPPING STONES PRESCHOOL: AGES 4-5 Year before kindergarten • Monday-Friday • 6:45 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Stepping Stones Preschool is a year-before-kindergarten experience that provides full-day programming, with a schoolyear or year-round option. Children must be four years old by September 1, 2020. Dates: Program runs from September 1 to June 4 (school-year) or September 1 to August 18 (full year).

Locations: Gatewood Elementary, L.H. Tanglen Elementary, and Meadowbrook Elementary. Tuition: 2020-21 full-year tuition is twelve payments of $1,040; school-year-only tuition is nine payments of $1,075.

HOPKINS PRESCHOOLS REGISTRATION INFORMATION In-district families may register starting Feb. 17 at 8:00 a.m. Out-of-district families may register starting Feb. 19 at 12:01 p.m. 2020-21 registration and program information At the time of registration, all required documents must be received in order for enrollment to be finalized. Required documents are: 1) Current immunization records 2) Proof of income (if applying for financial assistance)

Schedule Change Fee: Stay & Explore: A $10 cancellation fee will be charged to cancel non-school days along with a two-week written notification. No refunds will be given for absences on non-school days or cancellations with less than a two-week written notification.

In-district families have priority registration from Feb. 17 at 8:00 a.m. until noon on Feb. 19. Out-of-district and new families’ registration opens Feb. 19 at 12:01 p.m. All registrations will be processed once all documents have been received and on a space-available basis.

Tuition: Kaleidoscope and Stepping Stones tuition are billed in equal monthly payments based on your selected program option. Tuition is due by the first of the month.

Changes: Class sizes, pricing, staffing, locations, or programming may be changed at any time during the course of the year if there are enrollment fluctuations, if class needs warrant change, or district initiatives warrant location change. Families will be given the first opportunity to move into other program openings if a class must be canceled or altered.

Financial assistance: Limited tuition assistance for Kaleidoscope Preschool is available for qualifying families through the School Readiness program (952-988-5000). The Stepping Stones and Stay & Explore programs accept Hennepin County Childcare Assistance (612-348-5937) and Think Small Scholarships (651-641-0305). Tuition, deposit, and other fee policies Preschool deposits due for 2021 school year and full year: Kaleidoscope: One month’s tuition deposit (Check Course section for monthly tuition rate) Stepping Stones: $500 deposit Stay & Explore: $100 deposit or $25 deposit with an approved child care assistance letter. This deposit will be applied to your child’s last month of tuition and is refundable until July 15, 2020. Non-refundable registration fee and drop fee: The one-time registration-processing fee is non-refundable. Kaleidoscope: $30 fee Stepping Stones: $30 fee Stay & Explore: No fee Kaleidoscope Summer Adventures: To drop after registration has been accepted, a fee of $30 will be charged.

Late fee: A $15 late fee will be assessed on all accounts past due as of the 10th day of the month.

If you need financial assistance for Kaleidoscope Preschool, you must provide income verification before registration can be approved. Please provide one of the following; 2 recent consecutive pay stubs, W-2 form from last year for all wage earners in the household, or federally funded program approval letter and email to: Jessica.Lindblom@HopkinsSchools.org or in-person at Harley Hopkins Family Center, 125 Monroe Ave S., Hopkins or the Hopkins Public Schools Enrollment Office at Eisenhower Community Center located at 1001 Hwy. 7, Hopkins. Withdrawing from program: If you need to leave the program during the school year, we require a written 30 day notice of withdrawal. Your tuition deposit will be used toward your last month’s tuition. Stepping Stones families earn a tuition discount built into their contract if a family chooses the full year program and attends continually from September to August. Monthly fee is calculated on an annual basis. Your tuition may be altered if you change contracts after school starts.
