Family Fun Opportunities Winter & Spring Family Field Trips Explore the great outdoors at the Lowry Nature Center! Spend the afternoon learning about birds of prey, take guided nature walks, and create nature crafts. Winter activities include kicksledding on ice, snowshoeing and sledding if we have snow, and indoor activity stations. Spring activities include pond and frog investigations. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Ride the free shuttle bus from Eisenhower Community Center to the Lowry Nature Center in Victoria. Bus service will run from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., with buses leaving every 30 minutes. Buses will return to Eisenhower Community Center from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Registration is required.

Grades K-5 Gretchen Novak A combo class consisting of three styles of dance! Learn the foundation for all styles of dance with ballet training. Not for Sale: Standing Up to Sex Trafficking

Minnesota is one of the 13 largest metropolitan regions for teen trafficking, with the average age of entry between 12 and 14. Hopkins High School student, Jessica Melnik, is raising awareness with this event. Hear from a panel of experts, and learn how to spot the signs of trafficking and what to do if you suspect a person is being trafficked. Together, we can become informed and explore ways to support the fight against sex trafficking. Preregistration is encouraged. Non-School Day Fun! Youth Horse Camp Ages 6-18

Andrea Keacher Learn how to groom, tack-up, lead, and work with horses. Enjoy horse crafts and other activities such as horseshoe painting, braiding a horse’s mane, horse tag, and helping feed horses. Proper attire includes sneakers or boots (closed toe and heel), long pants, and layers for weather. Bring nut-free snacks and lunch and a water bottle. ASTM/SEI certified helmets provided. Sports NEW! Beginner Gymnastics

Ages 5-12 Meghan Johnson Designed for kids with little to no gymnastics experience. The goal of this class is to provide an intro to the basic skills on all of the apparatus, with a focus on balance, flexibility, and coordination. Students will learn basic tumbling skills (forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and more) and basics on bars, balance beam, and vault. Hopkins Alpine Ski Team Spring Race Camp

Grades 1-6 Jane Kleinman The Hopkins Alpine Spring Race Camp will provide alpine racing skill development in a fun and safe environment for Hopkins Elementary Students. Focus is on strong alpine ski technique and slalom and giant slalom ski racing tactics.
