This qualification is ideal for experienced and qualified beauty professionals who work unsupervised and have a high level of relevant knowledge and skills. You’ll get the skills to manage staff and resources, learn how to develop and promote your business and also develop your technical skills. It will also help you progress in a wide range of roles within the beauty sector including Salon Owner/ Manager or even becoming a trainer in the industry. Whilst studying this qualification you are required to either work in the industry or to have a suitable work placement to enable you to continue to develop your skills.

Course content

You will study the following units: • Quality management of client care in the hair and beauty sector • 2 units will be delivered off site at a laser clinic by an industry specialist. This ensures you are trained in the latest and most up to date techniques used in the industry. • Enhance appearance using micropigmentation treatment - this unit is delivered by a well known and much respected industry specialist who judged in the 2018 micropigmentation UK awards. She has over 15 years of experience to share with you. • Salon Management • Each unit will consist of an assignment and practical tasks.

Entry requirements:

Level 3 in Beauty Therapy which must include the facial electrical unit. All learners should also be in work or have access to work experience which could be in Riverside, the college’s commercial salon.

Assessment:

Each unit has an assignment to complete to check your knowledge and understanding and the three technical units also have practical assessments. These are carried out in the college on clients which you are partly responsible for sourcing.

Lectures, practical workshops, tutorials, work experience and independent study.
