A refreshing mix of Grey Goose Citron vodka, Cointreau, freshly squeezed lime juice & cranberry. A neo-classical martini style drink as defined & popularised by the legendary 'King of Cocktails' Dale de Groff.
Martini
The greatest of all the cocktails, the history of the Martini is also hotly disputed, so we would encourage you to grab one of our books and make up your own mind about its origins. All you really need to know however, is whether you prefer Vodka or Gin to be stirred with vermouth & the slightest splash of orange bitters.
French Martini
A luxurious blend of smooth Grey Goose vodka & Chambord black raspberry liqueur combined with fresh pineapple juice, giving this decadent martini plenty of punch.
Caipirinha £4.95 This mixture of Cachaca, fresh lime & sugar is the national cocktail of Brazil and has seen a remarkable increase in popularity recently. Whilst we can’t promise that this magical potion will transport you to the beaches of Rio it is 100% guaranteed to refresh you.
Raspberry Sling £5.25 This long drink is a refreshing mix of Finlandia vodka, cassis liqueur, fresh raspberries, pineapple & apple juice, lemon and sugar. It’s perfect for those who enjoy sweet, fruity drinks.
Zombie
Another drink with a disputed history, this classic rum cocktail packs quite a punch however; its smooth fruity taste works well with over proof, gold & dark rums alongside Grand Marnier, pineapple, lime & orange juice, almond syrup, grenadine and orange bitters. One too many & you could become one!
£5.50
Orleans Avenue £5.25 Named after a street in New Orleans, the home of Southern Comfort, this straight up drink brings together the sweet fruity taste of Southern Comfort with equal proportions of maraschino liqueur, sweet Vermouth, lemon juice & homemade ginger & honey syrup with old fashion bitters.
Bramble

£5.25
Created by Dick Bradsell at Fred’s club, Soho in the mid 80’s, this drink truly is the definition of a modern classic. A large measure of Beefeater gin along with freshly squeezed lemon juice & homemade sugar syrup are served over crushed ice with a majestic crown of Crème de Mure.
White Lady
A velvety cocktail combining Bombay Sapphire gin, Cointreau, freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar & pasteurised egg white. The white lady is a perfect pre-dinner drink and is actually the second incarnation of the name, although it is still disputed whether Harry Craddock or Harry McElhone resurrected it to the drink we now know.
Çlover Çlub
A drink that pre-dates prohibition and is named after the Philadelphia gentleman’s club with the same name which met at the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel. A double shot of Tanqueray gin, lemon juice, fresh raspberries, grenadine & egg white.
Espresso Martini £4.95 A classic pick-me-up drink if you need a little caffeine hit! Vanilla infused Finlandia, Kahlua, amaretto, espresso shot and a touch of sugar syrup.

Singapore Sling
£5.25
Manhattan
£5.25
£5.25
This classic long drink was devised by head bartender Ngiam Tong Boon working at the Long Bar in Raffles Hotel, Singapore. The recipe varies from country to country & hotel bar to cocktail bar. At Horatio’s we have created a very simple blend of fresh ingredients along with the usual mix of Gordon's gin, Creme de Cerise, Grenadine and Benedictine.
Another classic that needs no introduction, this drink native to New York comes in varying guises, however here at Horatio’s in honour of his impeccable record with prescriptions, (5000 filled & refilled & not a single mistake) we like to serve ours perfect - Woodford Reserve whiskey stirred with equal proportions of Maraschino liqueur, sweet & dry Vermouth. If you prefer yours slightly sweeter or drier then speak up or forever hold your peace.
Whiskey Sour
The Atlanta Daily Constitution in 1879 declared that “When American meets American then comes the whiskey sour.” Here at Horatio’s so as not to offend anyone we’ll let you choose which American, Jack Daniels or Makers Mark, that you’d prefer to mix with fresh lemon juice, egg white & sugar.
Mojito £5.25 Cuba may be the birthplace of the Mojito, however the exact origin of this classic cocktail is the subject of debate. One story traces the Mojito, a mixture of white rum, fresh mint leaves, fresh lime juice and sugar to a similar 16th century drink, the “El Draque,” in honour of Sir Francis Drake. We’re happy with that.
Daiquiri
£5.25
The drink of choice for JFK, this classic cocktail is another product of the late-19th-century & named after a Cuban mining town of the same name. It wasn’t until 1909 however, when Admiral Lucius Johnson introduced the recipe to the Army Navy Club in Washington DC, that this mixture of Bacardi rum, lime & sugar really became famous. We’ll take ours as it comes but if you’d prefer it blended with your choice of fruit we’ll happily oblige of course.
Mai Tai
£5.25
Margarita
£5.25
A child of the Tiki movement the Mai Tai has more fathers than one can reasonably hope to count, however we prefer the one born of Victor Jules “Trader Vic” Bergeron in his Oakland restaurant in 1944. We have our own interpretation using Appleton VX rum, Myers rum, Cointreau, Orgeat syrup & fresh lime juice served on the rocks. Once served the drinker smiles & says “Mai tai roe ae” translating from Tahitian as “out of this world - the best” & who are we to argue.
A drink with a much argued background and with as many incarnations as supposed creators, the only thing we can conclude is that this mixture of Tapatio tequila, Cointreau & fresh lime is quintessentially Mexican. How you drink yours is totally your choice but be prepared for the questions, Salt? Straight up? Frozen? Flavoured? You get the picture…..
Amaretto Sour £4.95 Horatio’s twist on this classic drink combines Amaretto, maraschino liqueur, herbal notes of Josef Meier’s and fresh pink grapefruit, lemon juice with grapefruit bitters & egg white.
Breakfast Martini £4.95 The breakfast martini is a cocktail created by bartender Salvatore Calabrese, the drink was invented in 2000 at the Library Bar at the Lanesborough Hotel London known as the most “famous marmalade” drink - Gin, Cointreau, orange marmalade, sugar syrup and lemon juice.
Curieux Mélange £4.95 Jalisco is considered to be the best overall tequila-growing region in Mexico & within the state the temperate climate in its highlands produce the sweetest agave for tequila. St Germain describes their elderflower liqueur due to its different flavor styles and influences as “Curious mixture” which is exactly what this drink is! Tapatio tequila, St Germain liqueur, pineapple juice, apple juice, lime, sugar & Jerry Thomas bitters.
Pedro Luini £5.25 Stems from a tribute to Bernardino Luini, a pupil of Da Vinci’s, after painting the sanctuary of a Saronno Church. Amaretto, Cachaca & Apricot Jam.
Aviation £4.95 The Aviation is a truly great pre-prohibition cocktail that is enjoying quite a renaissance at present and we at Horatio’s believe it deserving of a spot on our list. This spectacular mix of Miller's gin, Maraschino liqueur, Crème de Violet, fresh lemon juice & homemade sugar syrup harks back to the golden age of cocktails that Horatio himself might have enjoyed.
Todd’s Superior £4.95 Horatio himself was a superior pharmacist of his time & the Todd’s Superior is a refreshing concoction worthy of his name. Bacardi, Cointreau, pineapple juice, apple juice, lime, orgeat, grenadine and orange bitters.
Raconteur £5.25 Its meaning “one who tells stories and anecdotes with skill and wit” pretty much describes its creator!! Gin, elderflower liqueur, lime juice, honey & ginger syrup & fresh raspberries, will have you telling your own anecdotes in no time.
Black Russian £4.95 Created by Gustave Tops in honor of ‘the hostess with the mostest’ Perle Mesta, US ambassador to Luxembourg at the time. This is the original recipe from 1949 with Finlandia vodka & Kahlua stirred until cold.
White Russian £4.95 An indulgent touch of cream changes this cocktail from its sister into a sweet, creamy deceiver.
Sapphire Rose £4.95 The name of this fruity drink originates from the delightful blend of Bombay Sapphire gin with the rose coloured raspberry liqueur, combined with lemon juice & sugar this drink then comes into full blossom when topped off with some refreshing ginger beer.
Bloody Mary
£5.25
Moscow Mule
£4.95
The origins of this classic cocktail are much debated. At Horatio’s we like to believe that literary genius and legendary imbiber Ernest Hemingway, whilst not creating it, certainly helped make it famous. A simple mix of our own homemade spiced vodka, fresh tomato juice, lemon, celery bitters and cucumber make this a truly great elixir for the morning after.
Created in the 40’s by the owners of Smirnoff vodka along with Jack Morgan, of the Cock & Bull restaurant in Hollywood. A double shot of Smirnoff is served long with fresh lime, Angostura bitters and fiery ginger beer. A classic drink that propelled vodka to dizzying heights in post prohibition America.
