Each day in horse country, no matter which part of the country you ride, we are presented with a panoramic view of exquisite countryside landscapes: rolling pastures, picturesque mountains, pristine woodlands. We can rise to the welcoming warmth of the earth bathed in gentle light and close the day with a goodnight wink from the setting sun. No need to drive along a congested highway to view the distant autumn foliage from a moving vehicle. It’s all right outside the windows of our homes and stables, and it greets us with a welcoming blush when we arrive at the meet for a morning of sport. At this time of year, we pay further homage to the outburst of autumnal colors in what we wear. The varied palette of tweed reflects the colors of the sky we ride under and the land we hunt across: deep purples, heather greens, earthy browns, glorious golds, burnt reds, light blues, pale grays. Windowpane patterns, houndstooth check, and herringbone are enlivened with festive touches of maroon, teal, plum, orange, taupe, and olive. Our selection of tweed jackets is widely recognized as the most extensive array of hunting tweeds available, all expertly tailored from the highest quality fabrics. The inspiration for “View” comes from the beauty and colorful diversity of the landscape that embodies horse country. Many of the images that follow will look familiar to you. We hope they serve as a reminder of how fortunate we are not to be tourists here, or just residents, but to be members of the hunting community. Many views, many members.
