BMS Armada
BMS Armada is a purebred Trakehner stallion combining many of the most successful imported Trakehner bloodlines. He is stallion approved by the AWHA and was recognised as stallion quality by the Trakehner Verband in 2010. In his second season of competing Armada has consistently won and placed up to PreNovice and is on track to commence One Star level in May. Armada embodies the classic Trakehner type, he is lighter boned than most Warmblood stallions combining Warmblood movement with TB stamina. His sire APH Spiegel was a nationally titled Dressage horse to Advanced, and his Grandsire Kassiber was an Australian Advanced Eventer of the Year before becoming one of the most successful sires of dressage horses ever imported into Australia. Spiegel has numerous successful progeny in all disciplines including the 2013 One Star winner at Melbourne 3DE, BMS Volition and BMS Samicah. Armada’s dam boasts Lutz, a Grand Prix Dressage horse and Benito, A-Grade showjumper and sire of several National dressage champions. If you are looking for a sire perfectly suited to putting the right touch of Warmblood on your Thoroughbred mare or refine a heavier Warmblood, then look no further this season. Armada’s semen is fully tested and he has numerous extremely promising progeny on the ground, the first of which will commence competing in 2015.

COPABELLA
What began as a low-key breeding programme in 1998, a year after the Hargreaves family returned to Australia after many years living abroad, subsequently took a big leap forward when Visage van de Olmenhoeve arrived in Sydney in 2003. Then just 5 years old, the young stallion took the showjumping world by storm. Almost 11 years on, Visage has been a consistent sire whose progeny are continuing to make their mark in all disciplines. They stand out particularly for their trainability and temperament, and they just keep slotting in comfortably and competitively at whatever level their rider wants them to perform. Mare quality has always been a primary consideration in our programme, and this has also ensured a very talented set of youngstock carrying the Copabella label. Toddingham was a foundation mare in the early years, and her progeny – China Doll, Conspiring, Vertigo, Vigil and Venice – have all done us proud. Holland Rose, a Quidam de Revel mare, has also produced outstanding foals, including Cadiz, Verdi, Cashmir and Voltage. Courchevel, by Cascavelle, has given us Vermont and Victoria to date, while Blue Crystal, full sister to Warlord, has produced Valor, Cascade and Verve. And now the focus is on the next generation, with superb Cadiz foals being produced out of young Visage mares. So with Cadiz and the use of frozen semen stallions, the Tallara Barwick &Verdi future of breeding at Copabella is looking very bright.

The plan was for Visage to return to the World Cup circuit in 2013 and he did so with great success, beginning with an 8th place at Sydney Royal and ending with a 5th place at Wodonga. Due to the old hock injury, his outings at this level must remain limited, and the plan will be to campaign mainly at Mini Prix and Grand Prix level in 2014. Visage’s progeny provide ample evidence of his strong breeding credentials, with multiple success stories in all three Olympic disciplines as well as the breed show world. He really does tick all the boxes: temperament, trainability, conformation, style and technique over jumps, and movements in the dressage world.

DIAMOND B
Diamond B continues to stand elite jumping sires… Baluga has a modern and winning pedigree. His sire, Balou du Rouet is the best sire son of his illustrious sire, triple World Cup winner and Olympic horse, Baloubet du Rouet. Mixed with the conformation and rideability of the Holstein C line, Balou is stamping himself as a champion sire of young horse class winners and now Grand Prix performers. Baluga’s dam line is the Hanovarian Carisimo, a son of the legendary Calypso 11. The Hanovarian Verband describes this sire as a genuine producer of both jumpers and dressage horses with a known ability for rideability. Something that Baluga has in spadesful. Vivant is simply one of the greatest horses Australian showjumping has ever produced. Produced here in Australia and taken back to represent us at the World Cup Final in 2010 for Australia’s highest overall finish of 7th, including 4th in the final Grand Prix class. He represented Australia again at the World Equestrian Games in 2010, being instrumental in Australia’s highest ever team finish of 7th. Vivant was the best Australian score in the Nations Cup event, with a clear and 4 faults. His international career continued with his new owners for the Ukraine. He represented them at the London Olympics, has continued to win at the highest level and has continued to jump double clean rounds in Nations Cup events. He is likely be competing at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy. Not many horses can attain this level, World Cup Finals, Olympics and World Equestrian Games, and still competing at the very top at 16 years of age. Conquistador may have lived a little in Vivant’s shadow here in Australia and was sold to the United States after only one very successful season at World Cup Level here, but he too has continued his climb up the International ladder. With his young American rider, he has represented the USA on Nations Cups teams in Europe, qualified for the World Cup Final in 2013 and is still placing and winning at Grand Prix level in the States and at Spruce Meadows in Canada. DVZ STUD
Well known, and long time, Western Australian breeder, Dolly van Zaane offers a quality collection of stallions from DE WIEMSELBACH. The stallions, available via FS, combines some of the best European jumping genetics. The star of the stable is without doubt NUMERO UNO (Libero H) who himself jumped at the highest levels and his offspring continues to impress all over Europe and the USA. Numero Uno ranks 14th in the breeding value list (KWPN). TORNESCH (Lux Z) is a modern elegant jumping machine. At the last World Cup of the season (March 2014) Tornesch was 4th with two impressive clear rounds. In the category with a reliability between 80% and 89%, the stallion VAN GOGH (v. Numero Uno) earned a tidy 5th place in the jumping breeding value list. The other stallions UPGRADE (Heartbreaker), CHELLTAGO (Chellano Z), L’ESPRIT (Lupicor) and SOLITAIR (Voltaire) are completing the line up. Choose a Wiemselbach stallion this season!

Moonprint
Bay, 1999, 169cm Approved Oldenburg & AWHA
Camelot Ego Z has arrived at the twilight years of his breeding life. Covering, on average, less than 7 mares per year, Camelot has produced a phenomenal number of sound and successful horses under both amateur and professional riders. A fraction of the winning amateur and young riders aboard Camelot Ego Z horses include: Class Act and Jamie Priestley, Foxground Carthago Lot and Aaron Hadlow, Ego Casablanca and Emma Smith, Moonprint and Alyssa Mathers , and Chiltern’s Coat and Sarah Jasper. The professionals have also come to realise their worth, for eg: Untouchable and Climate Change (George Sanna stable), Inoshowan Casper (Andrew Inglis), Emmaville Corman and Emmavile Charisma (Hughes family), Cavalier Corruption and Cavalier Ludicrous (Stephen Dingwall, and Collateral (Chadd Donovan). Along with many high profile showjumping studs now using Camelot females.

Its taken over ten years but Mount View Sport Horses in Tauranga, New Zealand, has now achieved what they set out to do in 2002. To breed a horse in New Zealand that can compete successfully in the Northern Hemisphere. And now, with their premium selection of breeding mares, they are poised to continue producing class sport horses in New Zealand. Their 10yo gelding, Whittaker MVNZ (Marlon/ Indoctro/Galoubet A ) was sold to a US based rider, and was placed in the top 6 in 11 Grand Prix and won 4 in his first year. The next year, another 10yo gelding, Wimbledon MVNZ (Indoctro/Emillion/Nimmerdor) competed in Europe placing 2nd in a Rolex class and jumped on the Belgian Nations Cup team in Poland before being sold to a European based Korean rider for his Asian Games campaign. OAKS SPORT HORSES
We have always been great believers in the quality of our mares. First we select the best of pedigrees, then look for conformation, soundness, movement and especially character – heart, courage, toughness. A sound upbringing based on respect and trust, and good nutrition, round off the formula to produce an Oaks Sport Horse. Our mares are by jumping foundation sires like, Jalisco B, Darco, Cassini I, Carthago, Heartbreaker, Quidam de Revel, Caretino, to name a few. This strong dam base allows us to try some of the younger sires as well as well-established stallions like Kannan, Mr Blue, Contendro I and Armitage. We are looking forward to several foals by the European champion, Emerald (x Diamant de Semilly), next year. Our own stallion, the Calvaro son Concorde Ego Z, is making a name for himself with partner David Dobson. We now have Burma (Baluga / Quidam de Revel / Darco) several colts that we will run on as sires of the future by Mr Blue, Contendro I and Kannan. Every Oaks horse has a strong performance pedigree. We are delighted to see our horses taking their riders to success in all levels: from Young Horse Champions to Grand Prix wins. We are pleased with the interest our first Oaks horses have generated on the European tours – hopefully the first of many international competitors. An equal priority is to produce horses of the highest international quality that are available to Australian riders.

RENEGADE Z
Bred at Zangersheide Stud in Belgium, Renegade Z top-scored for jumping at his 30-day test in Neustadt Dosse. An injury cut short his successful jumping career in Europe, but opened up the possibility for this highly talented horse to come to Australia. He has brought with him a wealth of opportunity for Australian breeders, with his pedigree of the best European lines. Renegade Z’s sire is Ramiro Z, who following an international show-jumping career has earned the titles ‘Stallion of the Century’ and ‘King of Sires’ whilst standing at stud in Germany, Belgium and Holland. Ramiro Z is the sire of Ratina Z, Olympic and WEG medallist; as well as many other topclass performers. His damsire is Quidam de Revel, pre-eminent jumping sire as well as Olympic performer. Grand-dam Calanda Z is a full sister to top stallions Calando I-V, sired by the incomparable Cor de la Bryere. Renegade Z’s European progeny is led by Ruswil, competing at 1.60 level (see www.globalchampionstour.com/profiles/ horses/2944/ruswil/gallery/); and Radscha, Roncalli (both stallions), Retina S, and Rashida all with placings at 1.40 (for more information including performance results go to www.rimondo.com). In Australia, Rheinlander and Rebecca Farren recently competed at DJWTS in the 4yo Dressage Young Horse, and many more of his progeny are now out and about and showing considerable talent for jumping. We are looking forward to some exciting times ahead, and are as always delighted to make available a stallion of this superlative quality to Australian breeders. Ruswill competing in Europe

SPECIAL FEATURE: JUMPING BREEDERS SUMMERSEA
Summersea operates to provide Australasian riders and breeders with competitive and genetically superior showjumping horses at affordable prices. We do not compete therefore all stock are for sale. Each year exquisite brood mares at Summersea produce approx. 3 foals, often with rare and difficult to procure blood-lines. Summersea has supplied elite genetics to many of the leading jumping studs and riders of Australia with stallions such as Charlemagne Ego Z, Concorde Ego Z, Cartalme’Ego Z, Cocaine Ego Z, Capulet Ego Z, Romany Ego Z, Ego Casablanca, Corsica Ego Z, Celeborn Ego Z, Ego Creighton, Pyree Ego Z, Luxury Ego Z, Bravado Ego Z, Patricio Ego Z . Our mares are generally offered for sale as 5 and 6yo’s and boast generations of elite international blood. At present we have breeding mares by Air Jordan Z, Carthago Z, Lux Z, Cor D’Alme’Z and Mr. Blue. Our resident Cavalier Ludicrous (Camelot Ego Z) & Stephen Dingwall stallion Camelot continues to excel as a sire. Camelot stock, despite (Photo: Ashleigh Truscott) being slow maturers (the oldest are 12), have won or placed at most of the prestigious events including the DJWTS, SIEC Futurity, nationwide State Championships and World Cup events. They have shown the fortitude and character to be successful amongst imported and professionally trained competition horses under both amateur and professional riders. Even more impressive is that his success as a sire has resulted from an extremely small number of mares covered. Per brood mare, Camelot arguably is the leader of showjumping stallions in Australia. He strongly passes on the important showjumping characteristics of a structurally sound conformation; balanced, flexible canter; instinctive flying changes and prodigious jump, over a wide variety of mares. Summersea has two youngsters available: Cattulus Ego Z - yearling colt by Carthago Z x Parco - Lux Z - Calvin Z. Classical type with a classic pedigree; long legged, soft with excellent balance, Cattulus’ registration has caused international interest. He is one of the last available in the world from the too early infertile/deceased Carthago Z, whose stock remains both sought after and elusive. Leda Ego Z; alluring filly that moves with dressage elevation, lightness and balance. By Lux Z from Clotho Ego Z (full sister to Camelot Ego Z and dam of Concorde Ego Z, Patricio Ego Z and Pyree Ego Z amongst others)

SPECIAL FEATURE: JUMPING BREEDERS THE STALLION COMPANY
The Stallion Company, owners of such breeding greats as Kannan, Parco and Grafenstolz, have decided to ship frozen semen from all of our stallions to Australia for the first time. In 2013 our New Zealand breeders enjoyed being able to speak directly with the owner, and found the service very efficient and far more cost effective than dealing through agents. We charge the European price for our live foal guarantee breedings, which means that we supply you with semen until there is a healthy foal on the ground, and that there are no agent fees or inflated prices. You never lose you money with The Stallion Company, the semen from our stallions is top quality, and their reputations speak for themselves. So if you want to breed with super stallions, without paying over the odds, give me a call. We don’t do blah blah, we just get results.

YALAMBI
This year’s breeding season has again been another busy and successful one for Yalambi. We presented five foals in the 2014 ACE Assessment Tour and were awarded with 2 Elite and 3 Premium awards. Our top Elite awarded foal was the filly Yalambi’s Jingle Belle (Colman x Cassini II), and reserve was again a filly, Yalambi’s J’Adore (Carpino Z x Val D’Isere). Other exciting foals from this year were by the stallions Colman, Quidam de Revel, Carpino Z, Dibadu L, and Danaos du Thelliet. Our two new young stallions Cassini Rosso and Fair Diamond have also had a really good debut and so we look forward to seeing their first crop of foals later in the year, and we are also expecting frozen semen foals from Catoki (Cambridge x Silvester) and Christian (Cartani x Lord Liberty). The first crop of Carpino Z’s foals, now four years old, are going very well under saddle. They have inherited his very trainable brain, are just beautiful horses to ride and yes, they really jump! On the competition front Yalambi horses continue to impress. Domestically Yalambi’s Bellini Star and Steven Yalambi’s Jingle Belle (Colman / Cassini II) Hill after already having won at Futurity and Mini Prix level have now stepped up to win at Grand Prix level. It was great to also see the three Yalambi horses: Bellini Star, Cambridge and Cavalier, all jump clear to make the Futurity Final at the Sydney Summer Classic in December last year. Internationally Yalambi’s Chiquita and Evie Buller continue to win and place well in Europe’s Young horse classes. Yalambi’s riders Rory Hovell and Alison Rowland are still in Europe competing with their horses, Yalambi’s Val D’Isere VDL and BB Bella, and have their sights firmly set on this year’s Normandy World Equestrian Games (WEG). Another Yalambi horse in the mix is Yalambi’s Landor with Evie Buller who is also vying for contention. Definitely busy times for Yalambi in this World Championship year. We are very much then looking forward to returning home to bring out our seven new rising five year olds and the two new Stallions to the competition arena. We are also very proud and grateful for our on-going partnership with Mitavite feeds, which are instrumental to the successful production and development of our Yalambi horses.

From Gotthard to Gribaldi is the product of over 20 years of research by equestrian journalist Christopher Hector, in all the major breeding areas of the world. Over that time he has interviewed most of the more important breeders and breeding experts to produce a work that brings together – for the first time in the English language – the most influential performance horse stallions in all Europe’s major breeding areas, from France to Scandinavia, through Germany, Holland and Belgium over the past 50 years. 144 Stallions are individually examined with pedigrees and photos, all of the major studbooks are profiled, and many of their key players interviewed. This is a work destined to become the standard reference for students of the warmblood breed.

Conquistador
Vivant and ASB Conquistador -- these stallions need no introduction to jumping breeders. Two of the outstanding success stories of Australian Showjumping. Both imported as 3 year olds from Europe and both exported back as genuine International Grand Prix horses. These two stallions have revolutionized jumping breeding in this country. The progeny speak for themselves.

Vivant
Echo & Jess Brown, now competing successfully at World Cup level They are ridden by professionals, young riders and amateurs. The oldest are now World Cup performers. The strength of their influence is in the fact that both stallions did not serve huge books each season, but the depth of the talent produced means that the number of foals dropped to competition winners is very very high. Both stallions are producing sound, rideable, talented jumpers. What more can a stallion do? Available by frozen semen
