lano is an superb stallion who embodies all the desirable characteristics of the classic Spanish horse - movement, conformation, temperament and a champion pedigree. He has exceptional presence and powerful movement, exhibiting both natural collection and breathtaking extension. In all aspects of his training and handling Alano has been focused and extremely willing to learn. Showing open Second Level dressage in 2011, Alano placed first in every class, won 2 High Score ribbons, and was first in Ontario at Second Level, impressing both judges and spectators with the quality of his gaits, his consistency and his calm and quiet nature. He has a natural ability for the advanced movements such as piaffe, passage and canter pirouettes, and has the talent to go all the way to Grand Prix. Alano’s bloodlines are highly desirable with many dressage and breed champions. His sire Barbian VIII was on the Spanish Olympic training team before being imported, and his grandsire Regalado II had an extremely successful dressage career and was on his way to FEI competition before his untimely early death. Alano has consistently and indelibly stamped his offspring with his movement, talent and mind. His foals are all have Alano’s trademark lightness in front, and show athletic gaits, engagement of the hindquarters, excellent conformation and size. On starting one of Alano’s offspring, “he was backed in June and hasn’t put a foot wrong. It is as if he knows his job and wants to do it. His movement is wonderful”.
