As we believe that " society is our responsibility" so from this our goal this year was to expand our awareness throughout the cities surrounding us "Tanta" and not to be only confined within our city, this year we made clinical examination and spread awareness for oral diseases and how to maintain our oral health through the different social strata and different age criteria. we made awareness starting from 3-2-2015 till 28-3-2015

We set off to El-Shohada town in Monoufia governorate more than 70Km southwest of Tanta and we made clinical examination, diagnosis, ART and nonsurgical extraction with the supervision of the oral surgery department Tanta University. The number of the patients for this campaign was around 30 And we made awareness in the town for around +60 people

Back to Tanta we made a school visit to El-Eslah school and we made dental awareness for 200 students of 1st and 2nd graders and free tooth brushes and toothpaste was distributed to the students.

This time we travelled around 60km south to Tanta to the capital of Menoufia Governorate and particularly to Shbein el koum city and in Menoufia University we held the first of a kind Oral awareness event in their University and we made awareness to +200 attendant this day.

Back to Tanta again this time we made an awareness day in this school and we make competitions among the students to test their dental information and we made awareness this time for 300 Students of 1st,2sd,3rd,4th graders.

This day was held in Faculty of dentistry ,Tanta University in the conference hall in the faculty and with the presence of some of the best lecturers in our University as Dr.Shereen Abdel Mawla-professor in 'oral medicine ,periodontology, diagnosis and radiology department' and Dr. Hossam Maher Assistant lecturer at Pedodontics and public health department.

For the 2nd year a row, Tanta Scientific Association of Dental Students (TSADS) celebrated WOHD this year in Tanta social and sports club in Tanta city, spreading awareness of dental and oral health, with 70 Volunteers of our members, targeting around 3000 visitors And +60 In the clinic with distribution of more than 400 Samples., There was a dental clinic on which there was diagnosis and scaling available There was a kids area on which we shared the children (+150) their happiness and managed to teach them more about their oral health and how to brush their teeth and free samples were distributed among them We managed to spread awareness among people in the club and families and workers there and we made awareness to the nearby shops around the social club .we managed to make a survey there with the collaboration of the Ministry of Health.

Again we left Tanta and headed outside it particularly 60 km southeast of Tanta to Benha City, the capital of Qalyobia Governorate, this day was divided into two events the first was a school visit to El Fath school on which awareness we done among students and we showed them animated videos and distributed free samples of toothpaste and toothbrushes and the no. of students was (200) of 2ndand 3rd graders.

The second part of the visit we headed to Benha Social club, there we made awarness of the oral diseases, how to brush and how to maintain oral health in general. There was a kids corner and we managed to share their fun with reaching our goal of making them aware of how importanta their oral health is and (100) participated in this event.

To wrap our series of events for this year we thought that we can't forget the industrial capital of Egypt which is El-Mahalla el Kubra city that it's situated 30 Km northeast to Tanta. We headed to El-Forer school and made awareness of their oral health and how to brush their teeth to (50) students of 2nd and 3rd graders.

World Oral Health Day 2015 “Smile for Life!” Campaign Final Report So this was a report of what seems to be a great year for us we travelled a lot but it was worth it ,as we believe that we made a difference in every and each place, school, university we visited throughout our events. You really feel proud to be part of such tremendous work when you get to know the feedback from the Dental syndicates of every governorate we visited .yes we made "Smile for Life" not only a motto but we made it happen.
