A great deal to inspire

Comment Whilst size is not always the most important attribute, with regard to this issue of Hospitality Interiors, it is one the team is quite rightly proud of. This is the biggest issue we have produced to date and I trust readers will enjoy our broadest-ever content roster with four design features, a busy News sections, a sizeable Events preview section, the popular Zone feature and Products features, not forgetting Trends, Interviews and a fulsome Project section.

In our recently-introduced Zone feature on p24 – which garnered a healthy and positive response from readers – we take a look at some inspiring hospitality lounges which have been designed, amongst other things, for relaxing. This month’s lead interview on p28 is finisher, gilder, lacquerist and all-round creative, Rupert Bevan, who has worked with leading interior designers and architects around the globe – designing and producing bespoke furniture and interior finishes. Hospitality Interiors’ Gemma Ralph met with Rupert at his showroom to find out more. Our distinctive Projects section starts with an impressive report on The Bulgari Hotel, a milestone project designed by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel & Partners. Exuding a tailored, luxurious ambiance which sits perfectly with the stellar brand, The Bulgari is the first high-end luxury hotel to be built in London for 40 years it seems appropriate to give it a premiere billing in this issue. In addition to some first-class Projects from London and the wider UK, in this issue we feature Projects designs from the four corners of the globe: from Gstaad to Las Vegas, Singapore to New York, Baku to Vienna and from Nantes to Copenhagen. The Events section in this issue is packed with a wide range of forthcoming shows including interzum and Proposte as well as the fascinating new May Design Series at ExCeL London and the altogether excellent Clerkenwell Design Week. As always, we have so much more to say than we can ever afford to put down in a printed magazine, so I would urge readers to refer to the website (www.hospitalityinteriors.com) to see the latest articles, many one of which are online exclusively, and to see bigger images galleries and full unabridged texts in many cases. Additionally, you can also use the social media tools to like, tweet, pin and so forth. After registering, readers can also join and comment on articles too.
