These informative, live, online events will provide information about Hostos industry certificate programs in Allied Health, Computer Technology, Construction/Site Safety, Driver’s Licensing (Professional Cab Driver, Commercial Driver’s License and individual Driver’s License), Finance & Business, Real Estate, Teaching, as well as information on Language Skills and Test Prep courses, including HSE and ESOL, pre-college programs and transition to college assistance. To register, complete the Virtual Open House Registration Form by Monday, September 28, 2020.

Allied Health Career Pipeline Virtual Open House Wednesday, October 21, 2020 5:00pm-8:00pm

The Allied Health Career Pipeline Program provides FREE healthcare trainings, if eligible. Trainings offered: Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, Health Information Technician. Supportive services will be provided to help students obtain employment. To register, complete the Virtual Open House Registration Form by Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

Victoria Wong –An Exploration in Healthcare

Having the opportunity to explore and prepare for various careers in the healthcare field via Phipps Neighborhoods Career Network: Healthcare (CNH), Victoria Wong gravitated to the Pharmacy Technician field. She enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program at Hostos Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) in February 2020. A few sessions into the Program, the COVID19 global pandemic hit NY. The speed with which CEWD transitioned the Program from in-person to virtual, allowed teacher and students to stay on track and complete the program on time in May 2020. Victoria Wong, 23
