High School Equivalency Credit for Qualifying Regents Examination Scores
As of April 25, 2018, the New York State Education Department provides an additional pathway to earn a New York State High School Equivalency diploma (HSE) by allowing eligible TASC™ examinees to use passing scores on certain Regents Examinations in place of corresponding TASC™ subtests. High School Equivalency (HSE) Test Preparation
Students will prepare for the High School Equivalency examination by learning test-taking strategies in the five TASC™ content areas and practice sample questions similar to those on the State exam.
Prerequisites:
1. HSE Placement Test score of 5.0 or higher 2. Must be 18 years or older. Students who are currently 18 years old and attended high school in New York
State must be discharged from their high school.

Crédito de Exámenes de Regents para Puntajes de Equivalencia de Escuela Secundaria
A partir del 25 de abril de 2018, el Departamento de Educación del Estado de Nueva York proporciona una vía adicional para obtener un Diploma de Equivalencia de Escuela Secundaria del Estado de Nueva York al permitir que los elegibles usen puntajes aprobados en ciertos exámenes de Regents de escuela secundaria en lugar del examen de TASC™. English Links Program
English Links is an intensive 200-hour English as a Second Language program for learners who already have a basic knowledge of English. The program is designed to prepare students for academic and professional success. An integrated skills approach is utilized with listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar components. Students learn how to communicate their ideas effectively, interact using academic discourse and apply their language skills to different situations and audiences for greater understanding and engagement. Students will conduct informational interviews, participate in class discussions and presentations, as well as attend content based field trips where English language skills learned in class will be utilized and applied to real life situations.
A mandatory screening test is required prior to registration.

American Sign Language
Be a more powerful communicator and learn the art of American Sign Language, the third most used language in the world. This course will introduce you to the deaf culture by developing your ASL skills and providing you with an appreciation for the language used by deaf/hearing impaired people. You will learn sign vocabulary, expressive/receptive finger spelling skills, ASL grammar, facial/gestural expressions and conversational styles. Students will be encouraged to participate in group discussions, class activities and presentations.

Conversational Spanish
