A NEW ENGINE IN AN ALL-NEW CHASSIS

To celebrate its 115th anniversary year, Harley-Davidson has launched eight allnew Softail models.

The new bikes feature a stiffer and significantly lighter frame built for the torque of the new dual-counterbalanced Milwaukee-Eight 107 and 114 engines. The bikes also come with a high-performance front suspension and an adjustable hidden rear monoshock, replacing the aged and untunable pull shocks of past Softails. These upgraded 2018 Softail models are 65-percent stiffer, substantially lighter, and from what the MoCo says, they’re better handling than any of this model’s predecessors. Ihave known Heath Pinter for a gang of years—first from BMX, then from the tattoo and hot rod scene, and finally from riding custom motorcycles. Anyone who knows Mr. Pinter can tell you he is a genuine kind of guy who wears his heart on his sleeve and is always out for one hell of a good time. But Pinter doesn’t just ride custom motorcycles; he is now taking his self-taught car building and metalworking abilities and putting them toward his latest two-wheeled pursuits. He’s got a great eye for style and the correct knowledge to fabricate whatever he wants, and we can’t wait to see what comes out of the mind, hands, and torch of Pinter next.
