SHIGE SUGANUMA

Just outside of Pittsburgh, on 200 Main St. in a sleepy steel town known as Butler, lies the holy grail of Harley parts. Known to locals as Cycle Warehouse, this five-story 85,000-square-foot piece of real estate is home to hundreds of bikes of all ages and tens of thousands of new, used, obsolete, and hard-to-find parts from just about every year and model Harley-Davidson made. There is even a complete floor of treasured new-old stock parts and accessories, which is locked up tighter than Fort Knox.

We spent close to four hours there while we were graciously given a guided tour, and it wasn’t uncommon to see a prewar Knucklehead engine sitting beside a never-installed XR-750 motor or a wall full of FXRP fairings and bags stacked ceiling high.

But don’t think making the pilgrimage to Cycle Warehouse is the only way to get some of the good stuff. The store post parts online daily to its eBay account; website, cyclewarehouseonline .com; and Instagram @cyclewarehouse. You can also pick up the phone and dial 724-282-7278 for any and all of your obsolete or hard-to-find Harley parts. But we really suggest making the trip and seeing with your own two eyes the amazing amount of exceptional bikes and parts all housed under one roof in a single location. It’s a bucket-list affair, indeed. HB
