VÍA HERACLEA “EL CAMINO DE SCIPIÓN”
SABADO 15 DE AGOSTO A las 19h, en el recinto ferial de Rojales, “Proyecto VÍA ESCIPIONIS” (el camino de Escipión). Se trata de un proyecto de difusión del patrimonio histórico y cultural, en el que 10 voluntarios caracterizados de época, recorren la distancia entre Amposta y Cartagena para rememorar el recorrido de Escipión “el Africano” para atacar la ciudad de QuartHadasht (actual Cartagena) en el año 209 A.C. El objetivo no es otro que llamar la atención sobre el trazado de la antigua VÍA HERÁCLEA, dar a conocer la Historia, el armamento, las costumbres romanas, y a que el público pruebe la comida de los legionarios (que también será histórica). Para ello, se montará una pequeña sección de campamento militar a partir de la cual se invitará al público asistente a conocer dicha propuesta de recreación histórico-arqueológica. The VIA ESCIPIONIS Project try to draw attention on the route of the former VIA HERACLEA. This project consist of ten volunteers who in military Roman costumes are doing the same route (Amposta-Cartagena) as the troops of Scipio the African did in 209 B.C. to conquer the city of Quart-Hadasht (today Cartagena). SAMSTAG, 15. AUGUST Um 19 Uhr im Straβenmarktgelände wird die Nachbildung von einem ehemaligen römischen Lager stattfinden. Das Publikum wird die Geschichte und das Essen der ehemaligen römischen Legionäre kennen und probieren. Das Projekt VIA ESCIPIONIS will auf die Führung der ehemaligen VIA HERACLEA aufmerksam machen. Dieses Projekt besteht aus zehn Freiwilligen, die (in römische Militärkleidung) die gleiche Wegstrecke (Amposta-Cartagena) der Truppen von Scipio Africanus ablaufen.
