On a starlit night in Istanbul, the air buzzed with excitement. Underneath the grand arches of the Ciragan Palace Kimpinski, the crème de la crème of the yachting world assembled, eager to see who would claim the most prestigious accolades in yachting at the 2023 World Superyacht Awards.

The World Superyacht Awards, affectionately known as the “Oscars of the yachting world,” have been honoring excellence in yacht design and construction since 2005, with BOAT International at the helm. This grand celebration of the superyacht industry’s greatest innovators annually gathers the industry’s elite to recognize and re- ward the breathtaking achievements of the most prestigious shipyards across the globe.

With an array of exceptional nominees representing the pinnacle of superyacht design from around the globe, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation. But as the curtains drew back and the winners were announced, it became clear that the night belonged to a few standout creations.

Claiming the coveted title of ‘Motor Yacht of the Year,’ KENSHŌ sailed away with the prize, a testament to the owner’s commitment and the collaboration between Admiral Yachts,

Azure, archineers.berlin, and Jouin Manku. This 75m beauty, the largest yacht produced by Admiral Yachts to date, earned her place in the spotlight through her unique design, a result of her owner’s meticulous research of around 100 landmark yachts worldwide.

Kenshō is available for yacht charters in the West Mediterranean during the 2023 Summer season (homeport Cannes) and private charters in the Caribbean during the 2023/2024 Winter season (homeport Antigua). 2023 High Rate: €1,000,000 per week / 2023 Low Rate: €850,000 per week

Meanwhile, in the realm of wind-powered vessels, the ‘Sailing Yacht of the Year’ title went to ALEA. A vision brought to life by Germán Mani Frers and built by Vitters, this 56m vessel embodies speed, comfort, and performance. With a sleek and powerful hull form, uncluttered decks, and 360-degree views from the living areas, ALEA’s design was influenced by her owner’s desire to circumnavigate the globe in style.

The ‘Rebuilt Yacht’ category was triumphantly led by MARALA. This classic Camper & Nicholson yacht, built in 1931, boasts a fascinating history and, following a significant renewal at Pendennis Shipyard, has emerged as a yachting treasure.

The celebration of the night extended to a range of categories, with the award for ‘The Best Displacement Yacht’ claimed by COME TOGETHER. Created by Feadship and featuring the brilliant work of Reymond Langton Design, Come Together is a true masterpiece. The yacht’s unique exterior profile and the exceptional attention to detail throughout its interior spaces impressed the judges, securing its place as one of the winners. Come Together offers a sublime retreat on the water, combining opulence, comfort, and cutting-edge technology.

Come Together is based in Antibes and operates in the Mediterranean Sea during the 2023 Summer season. The yacht is available for yacht charters in the Bahamas during the winter. 2023

With a sailing experience that brings guests closer to the water, Athos invites exploration of the world’s most captivating destinations while embodying the spirit of adventure and discovery.

Athos seamlessly blends classic lines with modern features, offering an unparalleled experience on the water. With its spacious deck areas, luxurious interiors, and advanced sailing capabilities, Athos represents the pinnacle of sailing yacht excellence.

The homeport of Athos for the 2023’s summer is Vancouver, BC, and it will cruise the West Coast of North America (Not available for charter in the US or Canada). 2023 High Rate: $235,000 per week / 2023 Low Rate: $220,000 per week .

In the ‘Best Displacement Motor Yacht 499gt and below’ category, the mysterious “Unknown” emerged victorious. This creation of the renowned Italian shipyard, Benetti, displayed the builder’s unwavering commitment to quality and innovation which shines through in every aspect of this remarkable vessel. From its graceful exterior lines to meticulously crafted interiors, “Unknown” combines elegance, functionality, and cutting-edge technology seamlessly. 2023 High Rate: €150,000 per week / 2023 Low Rate: €128,000 per week
