Happening Out Art Gallery with Dennis Dean presented the monthly Artist Showcase at their brand-new location 2401 N. Dixie Highway. The event featured live entertainment by the amazingly talented Alexander Zenoz singing, a fashion show by Devious Saint by Coco Alarcon, and a book signing with author Lage Carlson.

Later than night we headed over to Hunters who presented Disco Legend, France Joli, live and performed her greatest hits including: “Come To me,” and “The Heart To Break The Heart.” What a great show!

On Wednesday, Jan 25 The Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce presented their 11th Annual "State of Our Community" EXPOsure & Awards Luncheon at Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay. Guest speakers Include: Mayor Daniella Levine Cava - Mayor Miami-Dade County; Mayor Francis Suarez - City of Miami; Mayor Dan Gelber - City of Miami Beach, and Mayor Vince Lago - City of Coral Gables. Congrat to Steve and his staff on another amazing event.

On Friday, Jan 20, A Night at the Disco: Where the Stars Shine took place at the Parker Playhouse and was brought to South Florida by Frank Spadea, of Dudes Barbershop. I was excited to relive my childhood and hear all my favorite songs, but this concert far surpassed my expectations. It was a night full of joy that went from 8pm to almost midnight…a TRUE concert! I advise everyone to watch for the next one and buy our tickets early as it will sell out!

Also on Wednesday was the unveiling of, Pixar Putt, the ultimate pop-up, open-air minigolf experience, at The LOOP (Las Olas Oceanside Park). Pixar Putt is made up of 18 fun, interactive, Instagramable holes inspired by the stories, characters, and icons from some of Disney and Pixar's most beloved films. Check it out! On Saturday, January 28, The Eagle Wilton Manors presented their annual contest Mr. Eagle 2023, an official preliminary to Mr. IML in Chicago. Congrats to Lil Daddy Gilbert on his win!

Later that night HRC presented their annual gala in South Florida to, once again, a packed hose.

On Sunday, January 29, was the 2nd annual My Hollywood Pride Street Festival in Downtown Hollywood. The Street Festival, which included a number of food vendors with a focus on local Hollywood restaurants and businesses also featured live musical entertainment on its Main Stage, hosted by Velvet Lenore, and featured drag queens and artists performing across a range of genres. Congrats to the producers on another successful event.
