Hello again readers,
Since the last edition many of you have asked what it’s like to live or own a second home here on the Costa Blanca.
Our properties are built with the climate in mind so cool in the summer and warm in the winter. All new properties come with pre-installed air-conditioning as standard, which doubles up as heating in the cooler months. Most properties have a private pool or community pool and gardens.
With Spain having a population of around 47 million and nearly 3 times the size of the UK, travelling around is a pleasure with a fantastic transport infrastructure linking the coast with the countryside, mountain regions, towns, cities and white—washed villages. I certainly don’t miss the rush hour tra ic and road works of the UK.
We all enjoy the relaxed, laid back lifestyle here all year round. Last night after work I went to the beach and sat in the ‘Chiringuito’ (beach bar) watching the world go by. This evening I am meeting friends at a local bar where there is live music on the terrace, free tapas with each drink, and a guaranteed friendly atmosphere. At the weekend I am in Alicante city, a short drive away.
