Pleasantville, Houston, is one of the strongest Democratic voter precincts that is still reliably predominantly African American. In the recent Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Presidential Election, Judge Kristen Hawkins received 1,000 votes, Judge Fredericka Phillips received 1,002 votes, Judge Jeralynn Manor received 988 votes, Judge Michael Gomez received 996 votes, Judge-Elect Nicole Perdue received 994 votes, and Judge Elaine Palmer received 994 votes in Precinct 259, which is in Pleasantville, a predominantly African American Democratic stronghold.
