In case you don’t know, Women’s History Month is in full swing in these “UNITED” States of America. So, I would like to take this moment to highlight Media Mogul Oprah Winfrey and Former First Lady Michelle Obama. If you don’t know who these powerful American women are already, I don’t know what to tell you. But anyways, Media Mogul Oprah Winfrey is one of the most powerful voices in America today! When she speaks, everyone listens. And she’s undoubtedly one of the most influential women in America! Former First Lady Michelle Obama has found her groove. Not that it was lost somewhere and needed finding, but rather that she’s hitting on all cylinders as she’s taking cities across these “UNITED” States of America by storm with her “BEST SELLING” book. Her memoir "Becoming" has held the top spot on Amazon's best sellers ranking for months now. I hope you enjoy this edition of our newspaper.

DISTRICT CLERK DR. DIANE TRAUTMAN DELIVERS ON HER PROMISE TO MAKE VOTING EASIER IN HARRIS COUNTY Houston, Texas — The Texas Secretary of State David Whitley has approved Harris County as one of the six Texas counties with a population of more than 100,000 to participate in the Countywide Polling Place Program. With over 2 million registered voters, this makes Harris County the largest county in the country to implement this program. The state program allows eligible counties to establish non-precinct based Election Day Voting Centers. “The voters of Harris County have made it clear that a Countywide Polling Place Program would have a positive impact on elections and I am confident that the transition to a Countywide Polling Place Program will be successful,” an-
nounced County Clerk Dr. Diane Trautman. Voters will now be able to vote anywhere in Harris County on Election Day, beginning with the May 4, 2019, Uniform Election. All elections, including general, special, joint, primaries, and runoffs will be recommended to use the Countywide Polling Place Program. “The Countywide Polling Place Program will allow more Houstonians to exercise their most precious right, the right to vote,” stated Dr. Diane Trautman. Voters can find out more information on the Countywide Polling Place Program by visiting www.HarrisVotes.com or by calling the Harris County Clerk’s office at (713)755-6965.
