Houston Zoo wins top award for education

The Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) recognized the achievements of nearly 30 member facilities in the fields of conservation, education, research, exhibit design, marketing, diversity, and volunteer engagement during the annual AZA conference in September in New Orleans. The Houston Zoo was awarded top honors for its Saving Wildlife School Partnership Program.

SAVING WILDLIFE SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

Through this program the Zoo forms relationships with Houston area schools by connecting them by connecting them to wildlife saving actions.
