Urban Jenga - A new designed vertical high school that focusing on views and internal circulations. It creates interesting internal spaces with a light weight and clean facade design.
Oral History Museum - Intunnel is the repurpose of ST James abandoned tunnel. The Tunnel is located directly under the north portion of Hyde Park. The design creates a subterranean entrance that maximizes the existing vegeta tion areas on the ground surface, and merges the museum with Hyde Park nicely.
Horizon lookout locates at Katoomba Blue Mountain. It uses three vertical concrete panels to frame the view of a valley.
‘Strings through the clouds’ is the competition for coun tryside dilemmas. Our topic is focusing on the same complex living lifestyle. Which suggests one complex for dining, transportation, commercial home-stay and residential.
Wuhan, Optic Valley is a project urban complex project with around 203,000sqm. This project is requested by Shui on Land to develop an urban complex that com bines a shopping mall, offices and relaxation gardens.
For other works during the bachelor study period. Con taining detail structure study, DA drawings, parametric design and physical model making.

The built context of the site’s surroundings can conclude into three types. The shape of a loop(yellow); the shape of the line (Red) and the shape of the Y (Blue). We were inspired by the Y and Loop shapes building forms. We then created a build ing formation system based on these sites’ surroundings to generate our design.
We started with our program analysis and building formation. We did the prec edent study of Seattle Library by OMA. One of the concepts is that their design started from the internal space. They first design the space inside and then con nects the space to create the facade of the building. We wanted to use a similar idea. We listed out all the requirements for a stream nine high school. We then group similar spaces for our design re quirements. The formation of the building is based on the Y and Loop built forms of the surrounding buildings. We use Y to substrate the loop to form gaps in between the loop. We call that pocket spaces. The subtracted loop then rotates, mirror and multiplied by 9 times to form the main building.
The building is a timber building with GLT for Beams, columns and trusses. CLT for floor and core panels. Reinforced con crete for ground floor and basements.
Space development is to refine the space for its required purpose. We added a copper-coded external staircase to the northwest facade. The staircase is to cel ebrate the view of the CBD and the park. The library on level 8 has also adjusted to a double-high space. We acknowl edge the traditional land owner of the in digence people. Aboriginal art paintings are added to the ceiling of each pocket space to celebrate the aboriginal culture and adding uniqueness to each pocket space.

By adding horizontal louvers to the north and west facades. We can better control the amount of daylight coming into the building, saving energy.
The outdoor staircase is made of metal and coated with copper. The copper breaks the existing white louvers pattern and celebrating the view of the city and park.
