Quest Brothers Classic Cars in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, have now started a classic car meeting for enthusiasts to be able to stretch their classic’s legs and enjoy a relaxing Sunday morning drive to St Ives. There’s a superb mix of classics and a great photo opportunity with the Land Rover coffee van outside Quest Brothers. Once photo’d in front of the coffee van you can park up on the big industrial estate with ease.

It was actually very good for

the 2002tii as it hadn’t had its legs stretched for a while and it was great to get back behind the wheel again, although I did have to watch a YouTube video of how to drive a car again!

Great to see some old friends too – Stuart and Liz in their gorgeous rare E28 M5 (yes Stuart, I shouldn’t have sold mine), and a lovely mix of cars from vintage MGs, Fords, American muscle, classic bikes, Jaguars, a 1970s Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Singer, Renault, Citroen, an Escort Cosworth, classic Minis, a rare Opel coupe, and plenty of BMWs including an E30 M3 and a rare Baur.

Obviously, for those concerned social distancing measures were followed at all times, and people always had the option just to stay in their cars and drive through while still having a look. With external car meets it’s quite easy to implement these rules and still enjoy the day out.

This event will grow and grow and I can’t wait until next time.
