Elk Auction

This online auction offers residents the chance to hunt just ten minutes from home in the 8,200-acre Backcountry Wilderness Area. We hold a lottery drawing—before the Elk Auction—to determine the tags: bull elk, cow elk, coyote, and spring turkey. The number of tags varies year to year as determined by the state. All of the proceeds raised in the Elk Auction directly benefit the Backcountry Wilderness Area Fund.
