Summer Fun For Adults

This season doesn’t have to be just about your kids! Find something that relaxes, inspires or even challenges you during these summer months. If you’re interested in getting in touch with your inner artist, consider Watercolor, Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, Art Journaling, Modern Calligraphy, Zen Doodling and Knitting. These classes can be a wonderful place to gather with friends and make art. If toe tapping is of interest to you, then try our adult Belly Dancing, Tap, or couples dances including Line Dancing and the New Millennium Cowboy Cha Cha. Adult Seminars

HRCA is offering a variety of adult seminars this summer. Try our popular Will Seminar where registrants get the opportunity to create a notarized will, power of attorney, medical power of attorney and living will from an experienced estate planning attorney. Three Programs To Try In The Bwa This Month

Group Horseback Riding Lessons (Tuesdays and Sundays, $47$58): Start your riding journey in our one-hour group lessons to learn the basic of English or Western riding. Discovery Day (Saturday, May 6, $5).

Discovery Days at Backcountry Base Camp give your kids the chance to discover the wonders of the Backcountry Wilderness Area! This month’s theme is Fort Building!

Crafty Critters (Monday, May 15, $12-$14): Toddlers and preschoolers get to feed the chickens, play in the Base Camp Backyard, and be creative with a nature-inspired crafts.

SUMMER KICKBALL/DODGEBALL

Join us this summer for an exciting youth kickball and dodgeball league in June and July. Each month there will be four afternoon sessions for your child to meet and play. This co-ed league is a great summer activity. Get your friends together and come out and play! Each player will receive a t-shirt for the monthly session. Horseback Trail Rides

Horseback Trail Rides are back in the Backcountry Wilderness Area this month! The one-hour rides (for ages 7+) leave from the Backcountry Outdoor Center Horse Corrals and explores a portion of our conservation property with opportunities to spot local wildlife like elk, mule deer, bobcats, golden eagles, and wild turkeys. The Front Range foothills provide the perfect backdrop to a close-to-home horseback riding experience.

Independence Day 5k

Kick off your 4th of July with a family-friendly and festive 5K! This race is perfect for elite racers, joggers, kids, parents with strollers, and everyone in-between! Starting at 7:30 a.m., you'll beat the heat and finish in time to walk over to the annual HRCA 4th of July parade on Highlands Ranch Parkway.
