My experience in architecture has sharpened my conceptualization, spatial design, and project management abilities while also stimulating my creativity. I’m dedicated to embracing sustainable practises, pushing the frontiers of design, and creating solutions that have a long-lasting effect.I have dabbled in creative writing in addition to my architectural pursuits. I’ve combined these two loves as an editorial intern at Rethinking the Future to retell stories about design. This merging of storytelling and design inspires me to break rules, test limits, and actively look for chances to make a lasting impression.

Detail of Compound Wall

Green paneling has been provided alternatively throughout the stretch of the compound wall, inorder to make the compound wall seem permeable but also to provide privacy to the residents of the house.Since one of the members of the house is a Lawyer the house needs to seem more approachable to the poeple as concrete walls would seem unwelcoming to the visitors visiting the Lawyer. It is done in order to providea semi-transparent feel to the house, but not compromising on the privacy of it’s residents.

It is also well connected by both road and by water, as the boat jetty to fort kochi is located within the site. The project includes reuse old buildings, turning them into galleries and studios. It also consists of spaces for the artists to stay during the biennale which would be turned into tourist homes, once the biennale is over. The main aim of the project was to keep the spaces active throughout the year, rather than being dead spaces during the absence of biennale.

Salvage swings are temporarily arranged infront of cultural center. It could be scattered throughout the site. The swings are detachable and each of the unit can be used for exhibiting works from biennale. It could also act as a source of light for the site during nights as it is fitted with LED lights. Main target group is children, and can be used for hosting workshops for children like Art by Children.

The pavillion is located infront of the cultural center. It could be used during beinnale for exhibiting of artworks. It could also serve the function of a covered seating area which would promote interactiosn of people for eg: the human library concept.

A sunken seating is provided on the platform that could be used as a open air theatre. Since it is located next to the cafe it could also be used as seating area for the cafe users.
