“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” ~ Psalm 11:3 1. Do you believe the Bible is the Word of God? 2. Do you believe there are any contradictions in the Bible? *There are no contradictions in the Bible, only in our understanding. 3. Do you believe that Jesus is the Messiah? 4. Do you believe Jesus never sinned? 5. Do you believe that Jesus never would teach His followers to sin? 1. If I could show you in every Greek and English Bible on the planet that Jesus is not qualified to be the Messiah, would you still believe Him to be the Messiah? Matthew 1:17 “So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Messiah are fourteen generations.” In all Translations it tells you that there are 42 generations, but according to this lineage there are only 41. A generation is missing! Many have put forth different theories to this dilemma over the centuries. However, none have been 100% consistent in their logic to this day. In addition, there are two separate lineages of Joseph. They both claim to be the lineage of Jesus, but Jesus still wouldn’t qualify in the lineage of David because Joseph was not his father but his “step-father”, so there is no relation. Now, nowhere in either manuscript is Mary’s name mentioned anywhere as being the lineage of Jesus. However, ever seminary and Bible college in the world falsely teaches that the lineage found in Luke 3 is that of Mary’s. Luke 3:23-24 “And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, v. 24 Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph.” Mattithyahu 1:16 “And Ya’aqob brought forth Yosĕph the husband of Miryam, of whom was born יהושעwho is called Messiah.”
Correct Answer: If you go back to the Aramaic translations of Matthew you will discover that the Yoseph lineage found in Matthew 1:16 is not the lineage of Mariam’s husband, but rather Mariam’s father, who was also named Yoseph! Yoseph was an extremely common Hebrew name. Now with this corrected understanding and proper translation you have 42 generations and Yahoshua now comes from the lineage of His mother, Mariam, from the line of David, which is in direct fulfillment of all the Prophecy. 2. If I could show you that Jesus contradicts His own teaching in plain English, as well as in the Greek, would you still believe Him to be the Messiah? Matthew 23:1-3 “Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, v.2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: v.3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.” In verse 3 Jesus is plainly teaching that we must listen to the scribes and Pharisees and do all they command us to do! However, in Matthew 23:13-16 He is apparently contradicting His own Words and He is definitely contradicting Himself from Matthew 15:7-9. Matthew 23:13-16 “But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. v.14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. V.15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. V.16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!” Matthew 15:7-9 “Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, v.8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. V.9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Answer: See #5. 3. If I could show you where Jesus, in every English and Greek Bible, teaches you to sin or break “the Torah” would you still believe He is the Messiah? Matthew 5:33-37 “Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: v.34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: v.35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. V.36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. v.37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.”
Here Jesus states that we are not to swear at all and if we do swear we are of the Devil! However, “the Torah”, which Jesus supposedly came to fulfill, and not to destroy, (Matthew 5:17-19), specifically commands us to swear and to do so by the set-apart name of Yahweh Elohim! Debarim / Deuteronomy 10:20 “Fear יהוהyour Elohim. Serve Him, and cling to Him, and swear by His Name.” Answer: See #4. 4. If I could show you that Jesus taught against the fulfillment of the Prophecy of Messiah, would you still believe that He is the Messiah? In addition to seemingly, teaching us to break the command of “the Torah” He also sets Himself up as anti-Messiah in denying the fulfillment of prophecy concerning salvation to the gentiles. YirmeYahu / Jeremiah 12:16 “And it shall be, if they (the gentile nations) learn well the ways of My people, to swear by My Name, ‘As יהוהlives,’ as they taught My people to swear by Baal, then they shall be established in the midst of My people. YirmeYahu clearly prophecies the gentiles must swear by the name of Yahweh if they desire to be the people of Yahweh Elohim. Finally, Jesus is apparently contradicting Himself once again because He does not rebuke the Pharisees for their swearing in Matthew 23. As a matter of fact He seems to approve of swearing altogether! Matthew 23:16-22 “Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! V.17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? V.18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. V.19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? V.20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. V.21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. V.22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.” Answer: Wayyiqra / Leviticus 19:12 “‘And do not swear falsely by My Name and so profane the Name of your Elohim. I am יהוה.” The Hebrew manuscripts of MattithYahu 5:34 states, “But I say unto you, do not Swear falsely; neither by Heaven; for it is God’s throne:”
This is exactly what the Torah teaches, 100%! Yahoshua did not teach us not to swear nor to sin by destroying “the Torah”. In the first century the Pharisees taught the people it was ok to swear falsely as long as you did not swear falsely by the name of Yahweh Elohim of Hosts. Yahoshua was teaching against this false teaching as well as every other false teaching the Pharisees put forth. Yahoshua was teaching, if you swear “yes”, let it be a true “yes”. If you swear “no”, let it be a true “no”. Anyone who would swear falsely (In other words, lies!) is of the Devil! Yahonan 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you wish to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it.” 5. If I could show you that Jesus told you in plain English and in the Greek manuscripts that you have to obey the Pharisees and everything they say, would you still believe that He is the Messiah? We already saw in Matthew 23:1-3 that Jesus commanded us to obey the Pharisees! If Jesus really did say this He would definitely be disqualified from being the Messiah. Yahweh Elohim in no uncertain terms tells us that we are not allowed to add to His Word or subtract from it. If anyone was ever guilty of adding to His Words it was the Pharisees. Debarim / Deuteronomy 4:2 “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of יהוהyour Elohim which I am commanding you.” Also, Debarim 12:32, Mishle / Prov 30:6, Revelation 22:18-19. I’m now going to give you two examples of what Pharisees say you have to do: The Pharisees say you have to put your right shoe on first and then your left and then tie the right shoe and then tie the left shoe and if you don’t do this then you are not following what Jesus says to do because He plainly says to hear and do whatever the Pharisees say. In addition you have to wash your hands every time before you put anything in your mouth. You must use a specifically designated pitcher and then you must pour water over each hand from the pitcher and then you must repeat this process and then you must pray the following in Hebrew, “Blessed are you O LORD our God, King of the universe who has given us the commandment to wash our hands.” Now, did Jesus really just command us to guard and do everything that the Pharisees say to do? Yes, in every English and Greek manuscript on the planet! That is a problem because 1. We have not been doing it!
2. The Pharisees add to “The Scriptures” and “The Scriptures” say not to do this! In the Hebrew text of Matthew you will discover that Yahoshua actually says, “All therefore whatsoever he bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.” MattithYahu 23:2 This agrees with The Writings of Yahoshua’s half brother Ya ‘acob. Ya ‘acob 1:22-25 “And become doers of the Word (Mosheh and the Prophets), and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. v.23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror, v.24 for he looks at himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what he was like. v.25 But he that looked into the perfect Torah, that of freedom, and continues in it, not becoming a hearer that forgets, but a doer of work, this one shall be blessed in his doing of the Torah.” Yahoshua taught us to listen to Mosheh and not the Pharisees because they teach “the Torah”, but they do not do “the Torah”! Yahoshua did not teach us to follow the Pharisees and once again He did not contradict His own teachings. The real question everyone needs to ask at this point is, In whom do you believe the Greek Jesus Christ or the Hebrew Yahoshua ha MaShiach? https://revelation1910.wordpress.com/2012/05/17/the-hebrew-yahoshua-vs-the-greek-jesus/ Many thanks to Michael Rood and Nehemiah Gordon for all their fantastic work on this research and their amazing documentary.
