MAY - JULY 2016
hornsby.nsw.gov.au/whatson
After a great start to 2016, the year is now in full swing here at Hornsby Shire Council, with plenty of new projects and achievements already underway. A few months ago, we unveiled the new synthetic grass oval at Pennant Hills Park, which has received wonderful feedback from the many young people and sports groups who use the facility. In addition, we recently worked on a new playground on Dangar Island, and the construction of the footbridge continues. Our staff have also been working hard across Hornsby Shire to improve the lives of residents by fixing footpaths and roads, collecting waste, helping out in libraries and community centres plus more. Over the next few months, there will be plenty to do in our area and I encourage you to come along to one of our events or workshops. Many people will be delighted to know that after a wildly popular debut in 2015, the Westside Vibe returns to Hornsby, bigger and bolder than ever – details are included in this brochure, so make sure you don’t miss out! Please do stay in touch with us via our website and social media channels for all the latest news about your community.
