Phase two was a small subject in the mid of semester.The purpose is to test feasibility of concepts in an actual environment. For example,my site is located on east Taipei,Taipei 101. The subject was to create a story via graphics and scripts,analogying between 101 and machine.

IN BETWEEN The ideas of story concept are due to imaginations and obsessions of people toward gigantic objects.Taipei 101 itself stand like a vertical enormous city,easily get lost therein.That is,people comsumed by immense mechanical structure.
Taipei 101 is a landmark supertall skyscraper in Xinyi District,Taipei,Taiwan.The height is about 509.2 m (1,671 ft) as measured to its height architectural top.The structure regularly appears as an icon of Taipei. (-wikipedia)

Features of the site -
Ruins: The site remains a status of natural development.
-Topography: Low shabby houses combine mild slope becoming an unique landscape. -
Layers: The present situation of the site displays the trails of residents' livings from different periods.

The houses in heart village could generally recognize as three phase.
1945 A.D
ABOUT Heart Village is located in Forest Water District,also in the middle of the NewPeitou section.The area of the village is about 13 hm2.The native village dwellers were 79 military dependents families. It belongs to the Ministry of National Defense,nearby the Peitou hospital,which was a hot-spring sanatorium in the Japanese colonial period. Peitou hospital had been a psychiatric hospital since 1960s.
When Chinese Nationalist Government move in Taiwan,there were some stables and dorms left by Japanese army.So they repaired and rebuilds some of them providing for military relatives.
1962 A.D An organization donated 7 wooden dorms to military relatives.The houses was located in the center of village and were well preserved.
1945A.D - NOW These houses were applied and built by residents themselves.Most of them are expanded from the original old buildings.Owing to policy,there's no people live there nowadays,but most of the furnitures and plants are still left there,becoming unique scenes.

How do people make use of this field without changing the status quo,maintain the characteristics of it? Through current patterns to reinterpret,searching the suitable perspective for this site,a petrifaction carved and polished by time and nature.

The houses in heart village are both low and flat,expansed and re-built in a horizontal direction.It’s like a petrifaction which still keep growing. Try to turn horizontal to vertical,finding the possibilities for the future of the site. According to existing situation,there’are two patterns, horizontal expansion and layers:thicken walls,patched up roofs with metal-sheet and plastic water-proof board,etc.

What would you left when you're gone? And whowould you left to ,when there are no blood bond and family name. One day,a boy found a box of old knick knacks. There were several numbers on the cap of box,but all barely recognized.The boy tried to find the owner,but he didn't know who the owner is or where or how.He traveled through the whole structure in order to return the box.

「從前從前，有一對好朋友分隔兩地，他們從沒見過對方 ...」 「那他們是怎麼變成好友的？」小九撐著頭趴在床上，暖黃的燈光映在童稚的臉 龐上，柔和了輪廓，「他們為什麼不會想見見彼此？如果是我我就會，而且你不 是說不能跟陌生人說話 ......」 「他們是筆友，」身旁的男人瞟了小九一眼，滿意地在他閉上嘴後繼續說道：「每 個禮拜都會寫信給對方，什麼都聊，聊天氣與收成，家庭和生活。有一天，其中 一人提到他上周末和家人去海上釣魚。沒想到另一人回信時卻說，『魚怎麼會在 海裡呢？魚應該是在天上的呀！』」 「魚怎麼會在天上…」已經不敵睡意的小九迷迷糊糊地喃喃不清不楚的話語，男 人見狀幫他拉了拉棉被，瞇起眼睛。

「嘿，給你看樣東西，」他突然轉頭對一臉困惑的小紅說，「你看見那邊那幾 個避難所的頂樓嗎？覺得有什麼不一樣？」 小紅朝他手指的方向望去，乍看之下每個避難所其實都長的差不多，不過他指 的那幾個樓頂…每幾塊金屬板會有其中一塊的反光程度不一樣，這樣一大片看下 來，就像是某些圖案，在其它散發均勻光芒的屋頂中異常顯眼。 「哈哈，其實是這樣的，我們有兩個金屬供應商，通常都會固定使用一種，不 過有一次另一種有剩下，一開始只是覺得不用很浪費，就混著用了，」建築工人自 豪地說，目光閃爍，好像這整座城市都是他的作品一樣，「後來我覺得這樣也不錯， 就繼續下去了，還可以偶爾弄些花樣或圖案什麼的，這樣看著這些避難所屋頂的時 候，就知道哪些是我蓋的了。」 兩人靜靜的欣賞著眼前的畫面，夕陽在他們身後拖曳出一長一短的影子。 「啊！對了！」小紅突然想起了什麼，他從肩上的包裹裡掏出了個紅色的盒子。 「請問這是你的嗎？」他問。

This case is to design an office building,located nearby Huashan 1914 Creative Park,a rising center of cultural and creative industries.This office building welcome all kinds of companies.It include a library(able to be private or public),and some floors are marketplace opening to public.The design focus on satisfying demands in all kind,avoiding mutual interferences.

GROUND PLAN
Keelung was called as “Shan-Cheng”,because there’re many mounds and hills in Keelung.It’s also a newly developing area,only one-hour drive from Taipei city. However,most of the currently existing buildings in Keelung are old and low,built alongside by hills.The concept of this congregate housing design is to accommodate certain amount of residents, maintaining the neighborhood relationships of old times.Also the building provide aisles direct to lateral hill park.

CONGREGATE HOUSING in Di-Hua Advisor : An-Jui,Li
This case is located nearby Taipei Di-Hua street,also known as Twatutia area.It is a congregate housing design,contains with multiple type of apartment,feature as apartment for single person,small family and extended family.There are a library and audio-visual room in this private community.And it also provide daycare service,but not open to public.The design goal are focus on the communications of residents,promoting contacts between different groups.

MARKET PLAZA Advisor : Fu-Kuo,Mi
This subject is to move an old market to underground,combinimg the function of plaza,to provide acomfortable public space for citizens.The focal point is the way to design an openness and friendly underground space,in this case,using plaza aside and tilted roof.The mild tilted roof can also use as turf for citizens.
