Wednesday 29 May - Saturday 1 June 10am - 4pm daily The Play-ground is a treat for all the family in the heart of the city. Spend a day with us over half term – there will be plenty to see and do.
All Play-ground activity is absolutely FREE so why not come down and play!
Join in and create a cardboard world which will grow and change over four days. Create your own story about your city, and the people to go in it.
Cardboard City
Dress up in outfits from Curve's wonderful costume collection. Choose an elegant evening dress, a policeman's hat, add some shades and a feather boa perhaps?
Dressing Up Box
When it’s time to chill out, settle down with a book or enjoy some story-telling tucked away in The Book Corner.
The Book Corner
Look out for talented local artists performing on the foyer stage in 15 minute slots or ‘bites’ each day.

Thu 30 May & Sat 1 June 10.15am, 11.15am, 12.15pm, 2pm, 3pm Use different techniques to make your own printed suns and suns for the Indian Summer 1000 Suns installation. Workshops for 5+ and families.

A Day of Music with Darbar
Fri 31 May This special event is aimed at all the family and is brought to you in partnership with renowned Indian classical music makers, Darbar.
10.30am (for under 7s) & 11.30am (for ages 7+) Explore voices from different traditions and join in making a chorus of sound.
Singing with Tofail Ahmed
1.30pm (for under 7s) & 2.15pm (for ages 7+) Handle traditional instruments and learn how to make sounds on the sitar.

Young Arts Workshops
Come and join the fun with a series of exciting workshops for all ages, by Curve Young Arts Entrepreneurs. All workshops last 1 hour. Drama Workshop for 8 + Wed 29 May 10.15am & 2.30pm Come along to this fun workshop and explore the different cities of the world. Where will you end up? China, New Zealand, Brazil....

Dance Workshop for 8+ Thu 30 May 12.15pm A short, sharp and sweet way of making dance; we will be using simple choreographic tools to make a dance piece...in only an hour! On your marks, get set, go!
Get Set, Go!
Drama Workshop for ages 8-12 Thu 30 May 2.30pm Join the SpectActors for this exciting workshop and discover your own imaginary city using some fun drama games! Help create a city ruled by kids, explore the animal nightlife and join in the Great Taxi Chase!
City Kids Adventure
Dance Workshop for ages 4-6 Fri 31 May 10.30am A fun, enjoyable workshop using props, materials and imagination to create journeys of movement through books such as James and the Giant Peach and The BFG.
