GREETINGS
Hello, and welcome to Huntsville, Alabama, USA! We know you have traveled a very long way to be here, and for many of you, it is your first visit to the United States. We are very happy to have you in the Rocket City and hope you enjoy your stay.
We are excited and honored to host the UCI Para-Cycling Road World Cup, and we were humbled to learn during the planning phase that this has turned out to be the largest non-European Para-cycling event in history. Wow! We are thrilled you are here to compete at this elite level, as many of you continue your journey to Paris next year. We can’t wait to share your hard work and determination with our community as we work to educate more people about the sport of Para-cycling.
Huntsville is also a military friendly community, and we offer a special welcome to Veterans who are competing in the races. With this being Memorial Day weekend in the United States, we will host a special ceremony to recognize you and thank you for your service on Monday, the final day of racing, along with fireworks to cap off the evening.
The races are in beautiful Cummings Research Park, which is the second largest research park in the United States and the fourth largest in the world. We thank all of our partners for making the races possible, including the City of Huntsville, Huntsville Sports Commission, Huntsville-Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and our many sponsors. There have been many, many months of planning and we are excited the big weekend is finally here.
Good luck in your races!

Welcome to Huntsville, Alabama! We are honored to host the UCI Para-Cycling Road World Cup, and we are excited you are here.
Huntsville, better known as the Rocket City, is a diverse community of research and defense, arts and recreation, history and dreams. Nothing here is ever out of reach. Whether it’s going to the Moon or Mars, decoding genomics, or setting a new championship record, Huntsville is a place where people make things happen.
Located in the heart of the Tennessee Valley, Huntsville is Alabama’s largest city. We were named the #1 Best Place to Live by U.S. News & World Report for our high quality of life, smart workforce and affordable lifestyle. Our concentration of high-tech workers and strong education system lure a high percentage of PhDs. The City’s recent music initiative produced The Orion, a world-class amphitheater, and our focus on sports offerings at John Hunt Park has shaped new championship facilities for sand volleyball, mountain biking, cross country, skateboarding and soccer. It’s no wonder Huntsville continues to be recognized as one of the nation’s leading creative class metros!
When you are not racing through the second-largest research park in the country, we hope you have time to explore our city and discover all that we have to offer. From our music venues to professional soccer, museums and gardens, retail therapy, theater, historic neighborhoods, artist colony and craft breweries, Huntsville has it all. Once you experience our Southern hospitality and charm, we hope you will come back time and time again. See you at the races!
