Located on the third floor of the Chamber building, the Small Business & Events department offers advising by appointment through a partnership with The University of Alabama in Huntsville’s Small Business Development Center, hosts ongoing professional development classes, and organizes Chamber-wide events.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES Several workshops, classes, and educational events are offered through collaborations with area entities including the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama A&M University, and several area businesses.
ANNUAL SIGNATURE EVENTS Annual Membership Meeting This special event provides updates on economic development activities and promotes other outstanding successes from the previous year. It also serves as a celebration of the outgoing board chair passing the gavel to the incoming chair. In addition, the Distinguished Service Award is presented to the community’s most dedicated and deserving volunteer. The luncheon also features a prominent speaker for the keynote address.
Chamber Golf Classic Held annually at one of Huntsville’s stunning golf courses, this event offers members the opportunity to enjoy a day on the course with business colleagues, clients, or prospects.
Clay Shooting Tournament This fast-paced, exciting new event brings like-minded individuals together to not only network, but to enjoy a day of fun, camaraderie and competition.
Small Business Awards Gala For over 30 years the Chamber has been supporting and recognizing individuals and businesses that make a positive impact on our community through their products, services, and outstanding attributes. Our annual Small Business Awards Gala honors the best of the best small business entrepreneurs, young professionals, nonprofits, and executive leadership.
Best Places to Work® Awards Honoring outstanding companies in Huntsville/ Madison County whose benefits, policies and practices are among the area’s best, this event gives businesses a unique tool that cultivates employee engagement in the workplace. A third party research firm scores the results and determines the winners.
Holiday Open House Ring in the holiday season with fabulous food, festive entertainment and the perfect opportunity to meet other Chamber members. This holiday event welcomes Chamber members, local elected officials and Redstone Arsenal senior leaders. It’s one of the most celebrated community holiday events of the season! The Women’s Business Council (WBC), chaired by Danyell Miller, is an advocate for women-owned businesses with the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber. The Council is comprised of 10-12 woman-owned business owners. The WBC’s focus is to create dynamic programming and networking opportunities bi-monthly in an effort to support women in business.
OTHER EVENTS - NEW TO 2020 Show Me the Money is a half-day event dedicated to providing small business owners and entrepreneurs with information on how they can secure capital for their business. Whether it be traditional or non-traditional capital, this event will provide attendees with insight on all the resources available to help start or grow their business. This event aims to collaborate with medical practices, elected officials, and other influential members of the community to discuss current issues that are affecting our area. Learn how technology is impacting the future of medicine, as well as innovative medical breakthroughs that are changing the world.
